According to last years thread it was invite only. However, I believe there was more than one wave of invites so I wouldn't be overly worried yet.

Yes. I've read the Columbia applicants thread and people in the Midwest have been accepted.

In other news, I had my SEO interview recently. Wasn't my best performance. My school interviews have been really strong though.

i've been following the last couple cycles on here and this one seems especially slow (i'm looking at you cornell)

My date just changed for Cornell and I submitted back in early November. I actually think I may have offended the adcomms by my personal statement. But who cares. I really spoke the truth about American Society.

Nobody said that.

We said the application pool is weak as a whole, and they are either taking longer to evaluate each applicant because there isn't as many or hoping more quality applicants apply.

Even if everyone in here got accepted to Yale it wouldn't change the fact that the number of applicants is dropping, and only one LSAT score range has increased while the others have decreased.

The applicant pool is bad, that is why it is such a buyer's market. That is why medians are dropping like crazy, and why they are offering crazy scholarships for numbers that wouldn't warrant anything a few years ago.

Found out I got in yesterday! Very very happy about that one. FWIW went complete in late November though.

Congrats! I just got in as well! Was hoping for some money included in the packet but no luck.

Congrats to everyone accepted to CLS! For those of you who applied early and haven't heard anything yet, don't lose hope. Columbia tends to make weird decisions. The year my sister applied, she had to wait forever for CLS when she was accepted pretty quickly at Stanford. There were other URMs who had similar experiences. I know my non-URM friend who is now at HLS got into NYU really early and had to wait until like April for CLS to come around. When JS called him, he was more than happy to jump ship.

I guess my point is that good news may still be coming your way even if you aren't in this wave.

Small, only the group of 175+ showed growth. Everything else got smaller

word? where are these stats from? i'd like to see them if you have a link. what you're saying kind of confirms what I suspected was going to be the case this cycle.
