So here's a question: Michigan summer start vs. SEO? Which would you choose?

SEO. School can wait - resume boosting is highly necessary, esp. for me as a K-JD and someone who is on the fence about what type of law to practice.brinicolec wrote:So here's a question: Michigan summer start vs. SEO? Which would you choose?

can you switch once you've been accepted as summer start though? I read that Mich really doesn't like when people select summer start and then change for a fall date.azaleafire wrote:SEO. Re: URM 2016-2017 Cycle Thread
Someone who goes to Mich now said she knows people who have. I wonder if it wouldn't be as frowned upon because it's not like I'm just like "oooooh never mind. I'd rather start in the fall." It would be because I'm doing something that's directly tied to law/being more prepared for LS.20171lhopeful wrote:can you switch once you've been accepted as summer start though? Obviously, I'm still waiting to hear back about SEO AND from several schools and while Mich is a good choice for me, it's not my top choice, but it's just something I've been thinking about because summer start does sound kinda awesome.

My SEO interviewer told me it's not so much that the program requires you to attend a certain schools, but that the firms they partner with only accept students who will attend certain schools because grades have not yet been distributed.

Building off of this, basically, certain firms prefer to hire from certain schools, so they get a list of those schools from firms and take that into consideration when placing.

I want a backpack, but a stylish one that doesn't make me look like a kid since I'm older and will be in a major city and not a campus. Anyone have suggestions?

I think there's actually a thread somewhere on here about backpacks recommended for LS... I'm not a huge fan of backpacks, but I think I'll probably end up getting one for LS, as long as it's cute -- or at least all black
