I’m confused. So far I have gotten messages from 5 law schools, each stating that I have a waived application fee. Funny thing is I haven’t sat for the LSAT. I take it on Saturday. Is that normal?

Thanks! HAHHAHAHAHA I am VERY excited! I am from VA (so people around here view UVA like the rest of the country views Harvard and Yale ) and it would be pretty sweet to go to UVA for free! I still have like 18 schools to hear from....but it's gonna be hard to beat a full ride at a top 10 school!

Also, it is my first acceptance of the cycle!

why didn't you apply to yale and how did lsac drop your gpa so much?

No Yale b/c A) I didnt go to a prestigious undergrad so I dont think my chances are amazingly high and i would like to keep my $112 and B) Even if accepted, I have a gf who will, most likely, be moving with me and will need to look for a job in a field that basically requires a decent sized city. Still, if I get a yes from Stanford I will throw an app Yale's way just to make sure all bases covered.

The difference in lsdas gpa and degree gpa is b/c I transferred schools after my freshman year(not so stellar). My degree gpa only includes my sophomore and junior year grades while the lsdas gpa includes all 3.

I understand your reasons but I would bet 50 dollas you get in.

75k in total scholarship at Illinois via email this morning! I had already given up on this cycle after a lower than expected LSAT in October and this news was a shock of surprise. Studying for Feb or June test and if I do not improve my score high enough for T14 in fall of 2012 then I will be very grateful to attend Illinois fall of 2011.

Just FYI Duke wasn't really one of my priorities either, but then I went and visited and it's actually really awesome! So you should be very excited about this acceptance!!! Congrats!!!
