oh okay. I know a few MAs who got WL'd today with 165+ LSATs and 3.7+ GPAS. I think they will probably end up taking a lot of URMs off the WL though.

FWIW I went UR2 at Penn on 1/15 and haven't heard anything from Penn or UVA (complete in November for both) and my numbers are 3.7X and 165+...could be that they just haven't gotten around to waitlisting me yet, haha. One thing that may be saving me is that I attended a t5 ug, not really sure though. I was really surprised to hear about so many high achieving URMs being waitlisted...

Good luck to everyone out there esp. to those who are now on the WL!!vI am convinced that this is just a really weird year for JD admissions.

For me it would be in this order Berkeley, Michigan, Georgetown, then Cornell. But that is because these are my top 4 choices. Some people may think I am crazy though lol.

I don't think I could attend any school in NYC at sticker. The COL there is just too expensive for me.

I've decided to throw in a SEO app and work something out with my current employer. My only problem is condensing my résumé to one page. I'm trying to decide which WE, honors, service, and leadership positions to remove. This is going to be a long night.

I did the same thing, and was having trouble with the same aspect. I thought about it for two seconds and just submitted the same 2 pager that I did for most of my law school apps. They requested an interview the next day. Pretty sure when they see where you've been accepted already, your 2 page resume is not going to be a deal... at all.

I visited Michigan last year and loved the atmosphere and feel of the school. Also they have the Child Advocacy Law Clinic which I want to participate in since I grew up in the foster care system myself. Not to mention Michigan also has a great sports program as well with it being in the Big 10 Conference and I love sports.

I'm not sure I would pay sticker anywhere. I really want to go to law school but since my family can't help at all, I would really need..something to buffer the crazy crazy debt law schools require. Not necessarily a full ride but something. But maybe I can only say this cause I received $$$ from one of my safeties.

Also, was wl'd by Penn with 165+ and 3.7+ from a top 5 ug. Nothing is sacred But they have a good program for what I want to do so i'll hang around. For now.

I won't be hearing back for a while, but if I was WL'd I'd stay on. I loved Penn when I visited and I really like the idea of taking a few courses at Wharton. Plus, their big law placement numbers are REALLY good.

Thanks for the encouragement Ev! I'm just flabbergasted that Penn say they want more black students at their school but have WL'd and even rejected strong URMs, including a 3.6/168 URM.

I guess I should be happy to still have a shot there.

I don't understand this either. I think I mentioned this a while back, but I have a friend who's a 1L there and he TOLD me that the adcomm has reached out to the black students there asking for help recruiting more AAs. So, I'm not really sure how WL quality people fits into that strategy.
