I think you should. If you start studying now or by the end of this month you'll have plenty of time to raise your score to where you need/want it to be on the June test.sashafierce wrote:Do you think I should just sit out the cycle?toshiroh wrote:I don't know if they would even consider a June Score if you're trying to get off the waitlist for this cycle.sashafierce wrote:Hi guys,
Looking for some advice. I retook the LSAT and went from 155 in Oct to 153 in Dec, I am international so I dont have a reported GPA, what I have is a "superior" LSAC GPA ranking. I am considering two options right now:
1) Sit out the cycle, take a prep course, retake in June apply early in the next cycle (I would hate hate hate having to do this)
2) Send out apps this cycle, take a prep course, retake in June with the hopes of getting off the wait list if I am not automatically denied.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
My first choice is Columbia 2nd choice in NYU.
FYI I have fee waivers from:
UVA
Michigan
UCLA
Northwestern
Boston University

Congrats to everyone who received their scores...
Question... If i have a reportable LSAT score but it was substantially (20pts) lower than my average PTing, how would retaking in Feb effect my chances? Can I submit my file and inform them im retaking in Feb? How would that work?

You would attach a note to your file explaining that you are taking the Feb LSAT and would like schools to hold off on evaluating your file until that score arrives. I wouldn't recommend doing this, though. It means that your file won't get serious consideration until March at which point most schools have admitted the vast majority of candidates for the fall semester. Even if you crush the February LSAT, you might be better off just waiting until the fall to apply.alpwilliams wrote:Congrats to everyone who received their scores...

I'm bumping this because I have no idea how soliciting fee waivers works and am really nervous to do so. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!mt2165 wrote:Something I'm pretty unfamiliar with, how does one go about requesting fee waivers? Is it too late? Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
It's pretty simple. I emailed something along the lines of: "Hello, I am an African-American male with a 2.0 GPA and a 120 LSAT score. Would you be willing to consider me for a fee waiver? Thanks."sunnyd101 wrote:I'm bumping this because I have no idea how soliciting fee waivers works and am really nervous to do so. I'm assuming you all just sent these e-mails to whatever addresses were listed for the schools' admission office?mt2165 wrote:Yeah UVA waived it within like 5 minutes.
