Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but in my observations of the last few cycles, it's all relative.

In the past, autoadmit URM applying right when apps come out would still occasionally hear from HLS in december, while non-URM autoadmits heard in november. However, this year's cycle is absolutely strange, so I'm not entirely sure how well the past will correlate
Do you think there's been a similar lag at schools other than HLS? I mean, obviously many URM decisions have already come out (congrats BTW, just saw your post in Duke thread!), but then I see many non-URMs getting interview requests/decisions and they've applied after me while I've heard nothing from the same schools. Granted, my numbers are not exactly competitive, but I also don't think I'm in the auto-ding range either (especially for T20).

I've heard back from a few schools with results that I'm happy with, so I don't think there is a terrible flaw in my apps...

Ok, I guess this is part venting/part being neurotic. Thanks for the insight!

Haha thanks for the congrats, and yeah I wouldn't sweat it too much. We're a pretty neurotic bunch so we all understand, but this admission cycle does seem to be a bit different than others for many schools. I'm guessing we're gonna be seeing a lot of rushed activity during January and February

Almost definitely. I don't see how they can get around it at this point.

I agree, and since apps are down & the upper echelon of scores are down, I think we're in for one rollercoaster of a cycle

Hello everyone,

In at UVA as of last Friday! Interviewed with Dean Faulk and accepted as we finished up our conversation. Applied in mid-November; message me for details.

And I'm with you all, really no idea what to expect for this cycle. I think we're in for a good ride.

You think it's going to be just the UCR2 12/8, or do any of us UCR1 12/11 folks have any hope to hear before January?

Methinks we just got our first autoadmit URM into Harvard (LC). Maybe this is a good sign we will hear from some other schools soon...I'm looking straight at you SLS
