Getting tipsy on the $2 margs, then stumbling over to Stonewall for popcorn and M&Ms on Tuesdays is how I'm getting through this cycle. I finally escaped to NYC after the South, so you can't make me leave for anything less than another large city. I'm clinging to the shitshow I missed during my upbringing, dammit!

Not at all. I've heard back from 3 schools, I applied to at least 15. Also applied in early January. I want it to be over too - like can I just wake up in two months and know where I am going? Thanks! Lol.Monday wrote:How close to the end (of the cycle) is everyone? I only applied in January but want this to be over.

Another member of the tribe (lol) checking in. Only applied to H/S/C/N. Might send out Y before month-end. An answer from at least ONE school would make me so much less anxious than I am now. I honestly can't think of a time I've so obsessively waited for an answer from a school. I applied in November but only started wigging out in the past few weeks as apps closed and people started getting acceptances. How are you guys holding up?

^^^same. For some reason Y's deadline being extended made me more anxious for no reason??? It has no impact on me, I'm just all nerves.MrJD2020 wrote:I applied in November but only started wigging out in the past few weeks as apps closed and people started getting acceptances. Right??? I thought it was kind of strange that they would send it back, since the defense of trans* restroom rights is generally through Title IX, not Obama's instructions to schools. Also--lack of protection means...discrimination? Pretty sure that logic wouldn't fly on the LSAT.Monday wrote:The Supreme Court remanded Gloucester to the Fourth Circuit because of Trump. Here's to hoping the Fourth Circuit doesn't take rescinding of guidance as an endorsement for the opposite.

Every day of this administration my desire to fight for civil rights intensifies, especially when they come after my little LGBTQ brothers/sisters/siblings.Monday wrote:It indeed is strange, especially as you pointed out re Title IX.KateMcKitten wrote:Right??? It would vary firm to firm, not school to school.Brutus_the_Younger wrote:I'll keep that in mind.
