Checking in!! Taking the LSAT in September and looking to apply early. Considering that I wont be taking the test until late September, how early could I even possibly apply. When is the latest that I could have my application in to still be considered early at a T-14?

Well three weeks from the day you test is when you *should* have your LSAT score. So you *should* have it by the 18th of October. I know UT Austin ED has to be in by November 1st. So I would assume you're good to go.rbrown0824 wrote:Checking in!! Taking the LSAT in September and looking to apply early. I've got a personal question. So I'm bi-racial, 50% Black 50% white, but I look like a lighter skin version of Blake Griffin, even down to the red hair. I'm probably the lightest bi-racial person I've ever met. The majority of people can not even tell I'm bi-racial. Now I've always claimed to be bi-racial throughout my life, however I have a fear of signing up for something like the SEO program posted above, and getting a "Why are you here? You're a white guy." response. Is this a warranted fear? Or am I making something out of nothing?

Start tanning. JK, but I wouldn't worry. 50/50 is 50/50. It doesn't matter how light you are. I am also 50% black, but I am darker than some of my cousins who are 100%. I don't think it matters especially because skin color is only one of the differentiating factors among whites and blacks.FairchildFLT wrote:I've got a personal question. Does anyone know the dates for the SEO internship? I see it is between summer of senior year and 1L for ten weeks. I'm assuming it's June through early August? I'm eligible to come off active duty in February, so I want to try to get some solid dates.
CANX it says June

I saw somewhere on this forum that the majority of people accepted to SEO are from T14. I was wondering if that's actually true? Also does anyone know if I would have a chance of being accepted if I went to BC or Notre Dame? I'm just starting to realize I probably can't afford a T14, if I'm even accepted to one. Thanks!txdude45 wrote:I said this to 2013-2014, I'll say it to you guys. APPLY TO SEO! Single best career move anyone going to law school can make.

What you read was true. The program is incredibly picky about what school you go to. T-14, UT, and GW are the only schools I've seen accepted.hkm wrote:I saw somewhere on this forum that the majority of people accepted to SEO are from T14. I was wondering if that's actually true? Just see how the chips fall. You may be surprised at the amount of money you'll be offered.

I know of someone who was accepted during a certain year who looks very white but has strong native american roots. You're fine.FairchildFLT wrote:I've got a personal question. I know someone who goes to Emory who got in, but yeah, there's definitely a really strong correlation between rank and acceptance.
Regardless of all of this stuff, just apply. You have absolutely nothing to lose and an indelible experience and great network to gain.

I think I'm going to apply this application cycle too. However, I'm not exactly certain about when I'm going to take the LSAT. I was initially aiming for September, but I might go for December, although I hear that taking it in December puts you at a disadvantage. In any case, good luck to everyone on this forum.

How did the June testers here fare? I got a 163. Well below my PT average but still an improvement over my previous poor excuse for an attempt lol

Nice! I'd say 100% you should retake. A couple more points and you're in HYS territory.jemthey17 wrote:166, also below my PT average. This was my first take. I'm already battling a subpar GPA, so I really need to get up to the 166+ level with you just to be somewhat competitive.

I'm battling some gpa issues as well - mainly because I had one semester where I had to leave school at the beginning of the semester and didn't have the chance to withdraw, so I ended up basically failing everything. Aside from that I'm almost in 4.0 territory. What is a HYS LSAT for a URM? I'm aiming for 170+ in September.

I'd say 165+ gives you an outside shot with around a 4.0. 167+ would be considerably safer+ the 170 you're shooting for would probably make you a virtual lock.rbrown0824 wrote:180kickflip wrote:Nice! Well, June test went really bad for me. 7 points below my PT average. I killed the RC and LG games section and bombed the LR. Came out of the test confident about the LR, and not so much the RC or LG. Guess that's how it goes.
159 3.5X Native American
Gonna give this cycle a shot, and will retake next June if I don't get in somewhere on my list. Wish I could retake sooner but due to football and an impending back surgery this is the best I can currently do.
