Bout time someone started this up.

Finishing up my Logic Games Bible, up next Logical Reasoning Bible, then 3 weeks of RC Bible

I bought the RC bible, but now I regret wasting the money on it. That section has always seemed pretty rudimentary to me--no offense to anyone else. I still have some serious weaknesses in LR that I need to work on though.

Are you saying it's more practical to just drill the LR Bible and LG Bible and do the old LSAT's rather than focus on the RC Bible?

For me, yea, that's the best method since reading has always been my strength. We're two entirely different people, though, so what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.

Have you checked CLEO? I think they have a program for both college and law students.

I've heard over and over again that SEO is the only program even remotely like itself. CLEO is has a few programs geared toward minority applicants, but but they are kind of of a different nature. I don't know much about CLEO because I never went through that program, but here is an article that gives you some information about both -- http://www.top-law-schools.com/urm-appl ... grams.html -- If you have any questions about SEO that are not covered in the article, I may be able to answer them. I think there are others who went through CLEO and may be able to answer questions about that.

EDIT: There is also TRIALS, which is really prestigious and probably difficult to get, but beyond that I know nothing.

We need more activity on this thread. I need motivation to start my PS... anyone done with it yet?? All I got left to do is "Why UVA" and my general PS..

Have you considered writing "Why not?" as your entire Why UVA essay?

I need to finish up the last drafts of my PS (pretty much here I want it), edit down my DS (content is there, just need to get it shiny) and then write my three Why X essays (MVP). Not looking forward to writing the why X essays. Ohh yah then finish up my resume but that shouldn't take long. GL everyone

Agreed. More activity is needed. I'm not applying this cycle but I've already started my PS. Have you narrowed down on what you want to talk about? Also, are you writing a DS?

I sincerely hope that the lack of activity doesn't deter anyone from getting started on their own...but just remember that the last URM thread didn't even get started until mid-September. You guys are way ahead of the Class of 2013 curve <3

Somewhat off topic but with respect to LSAT studies has anyone picked up mag subscriptions to help with your studying of the exam?

I've just recently subscribed to a few as I need to start reading more dense material in preparation for this exam. Have you any reviews on The Economist, Smithsonian or Scientific American mags?

I've also picked up some books on informal logic. I'm considering reading through these books immediately before I start active study of the bibles. As for the subscriptions, I intend to read them religiously leading up to test day.

Does any of this sound normal?

Be your own motivation, Fresh.

That said, what kind of motivation are you seeking? If you have most of the "to-do list" on lock all you have to do is sit back and wait for the cycle to begin.

Scouring the website, wiki, TLS, and youtube (UVA actually has a youtube account with a number of videos). Really, I haven't done much but that is where I will start.

Umm my PS is basically going to end up being my DS as well. Basically talking about my family's educational background, obstacles overcome, and what education has/does mean to me.

Thanks for that added tidbit on UVA. I think they also send out brochures if requested.
