Congrats all. And good luck on that Darrow invite!
BTW, I just had my SEO interview so if anyone would like to ask me questions about that you can just PM me.
Cornell interviews people they want to WL? If so I'm sure you can change their minds!

Ha! Well, it's not about rejecting you, it's of course about YPing you if you're not serious about Cornell. They know you're going to have plenty of solid options, and based on what we already know about your success so far, they are right. Regardless, I'm 100% confident you can convince them that you're super into Cornell...
I wonder if they throw the interview invite out there just as a signaling thing, meaning that just being willing to take the extra step is enough to convince them of your seriousness. Interviewing isn't fun and its even less fun to interview when you believe your paper should be more than sufficient to get you in. I know the Northwestern interview thing made me roll my eyes.

Thanks for your kind words. I don't want to post too many thoughts about it publicly but I'm gonna PM you.

And... in at NYU ED! Cycle is over. Quite happy.
For future URMs reading these threads: apply EVERYWHERE. Don't listen to what people say, don't look at the numbers. URM cycles are so hot/cold every year, and LSN doesn't seem to be the best predictor on where you will get in. There were maybe 2-3 MA urms with my numbers over the past 5 years who got in, I thought this was a shot in the dark.
Write a compelling statement, sell your work experience/school accomplishments and you'll get T14 acceptances. I almost didn't apply based on advice here, but thought it was worth it to throw in a hat before retaking. Retaking is always an option, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by your cycle.

Congratulations! It's great that you got the outcome you were seeking.
Wonder if you'll get the TLS wisdom in this thread...

Congratulations! Must be a relief to be done with the cycle so early
Re: The customary TLS wisdom...I'm hoping people will refrain. Unless someone asks for advice I tend to think that we should stick to celebrating when people share their news after the applications have been sent and the decisions have come in.

Can't resist:
ED is almost always stupid(especially if you've got the numbers to grab NYU). It hurts everyone by taking a little more of our already limited leverage.

In what way does her early decision application to NYU erode our limited leverage? (by "our" I assume you mean URMs, but correct me if I'm wrong).

Wouldn't it help just as much as it hurts. Someone EDing to a school means that one more seat at every other t-14 opens up. Anyway, telling someone not to ED because it will hurt other people's chances is just funny.

Congrats on getting in ED! I hope you focus on the wonderful development of getting into law school and knowing you're going somewhere awesome rather than any negativity that can take away from that.

It depends. Neurotic is 70% troll, but I think it's important to have open discussions about why common wisdom is wise and encourage people to heed it. If a moment can be a teachable one, better to teach than merely celebrate.
I think this is especially important with URMs where the rules are just a tad different, and so bad advice can easily proliferate if unchecked.
In any case, good luck with RTK.
