Soo i looked thru lsn some time ago and I found it odd that a good amount of those waitlisted were strong URM candidates...its like if they thought you had a great shot at a higher ranked school you were wait-listed... i posted this earlier in the Upenn group..am i wrong or do you think its just a coincidence?

Vanderbilt- I will withdraw
USC- I will withdraw
Wait list:

still waiting on:

I feel like this situation is a little odd? Unpredictable
As of now I'm thinking NYU unless I get Cornell, Texas or Berkeley with a substantial scholarship.

a little unpredictable, but hey getting NYU and cornell already isn't so bad! i'm starting to believe more and more the TLS mantra that the URM boost is much more beneficial for the high GPA/lower LSAT candidates.Angrygeopolitically wrote:In:

Same. Low GPA/High LSAT splitters have not really gotten in much higher than NYU this cycle.horrorbusiness wrote: i'm starting to believe more and more the TLS mantra that the URM boost is much more beneficial for the high GPA/lower LSAT candidates.

Still waiting: Columbia, NYU, USC
In: Mich., Penn, UVA, Texas, harvard, Chicago, Emory...
Waiting to see about $. So far $ at UVA,Texas, Emory...
Haven't seen most of these schools, so also trying to figure out who gives travel vouchers for admitted students weekend...airfare is expensive!
AA, appx 167, 3.9x

You're not going to attend emory even with a full ride. You should withdraw for someone who genuinely wants to attend.

Haha:) My family is from around there, so that's definitely a factor. But I will start/continue withdrawing from places probably next week, don't worry! Emory very likely on that list mainly because I want to do a type of P.I. law that Emory doesn't have a lot of.

...please tell me you're a real person. Because if you are, we're somewhat numbers twins (I applied later than you did, so that might be the killer) and this gives me hope. Otherwise, I am ready to give up my Dr. Pepper habit for an acceptance to Michigan.plaiseadieu wrote:My cycle thus far:

Now that's some serious business.
Ahem. Congratulations on your acceptances, and good luck on the rest of your cycle!

In at Howard with status checker...
they didn't even send me an email that stated I was accepted - just one about the Howard Law Journal that included a "Thank you for your interest in Howard University School of Law" from the Office of Admissions in its conclusion.

3.89 165 LSAT Puerto Rican Female. No news yet, but hoping for NYU. I messed up on the LSAT, and I'm frustrated being a splitter, but hoping for a little love... under review at NYU, Harvard, UConn, Berkeley, USC, UVA.
Good luck to all!
