Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
Question: I'm waiting on my score before I apply to my reach schools, but I'm also applying to Rutgers-C, Temple, Howard, and Georgia State. Would it be better just to go ahead and apply now with my current numbers, or wait to apply to those schools as well? I figured since I got into all those schools except Rutgers-C last time around I might as well just go ahead and submit their apps now.
And that LSAC fee waiver is a life-saver....

imo, you may as well apply now since your current numbers are competitive. they certainly wont reject you until youre new score comes out, and its generally a good idea to save your place in line. then use your new score to make them up your scholly.wlee1220 wrote:Question: I'm waiting on my score before I apply to my reach schools, but I'm also applying to Rutgers-C, Temple, Howard, and Georgia State. +1 A real life saver in my opinion. My motto is to always send in early. The earlier the better. But I will let someone else chime in as well as to what you should do. Because I have wondered myself does timing really influence URM admissions anyway.wlee1220 wrote:Question: I'm waiting on my score before I apply to my reach schools, but I'm also applying to Rutgers-C, Temple, Howard, and Georgia State. I have printed out my applications and essays 100000 times and have changed them each time I have printed. I am just so scared of this. It's such a big step for me!
This was on my new years resolution list on my fridge and the idea that I will be able to cross it off is just crazy to me. lol Let me man up though. Everything will be dont by this weekend for sure.

I always thought that since URM cycles are so volatile anyway that it really makes no difference. But I'll get to submitting these ones first.ThePiedPiper wrote:+1 A real life saver in my opinion. Just retook last Sat, but current numbers are 155 and 3.4 (LSAT from 12/2011, GPA was fucked up sophomore year). I got into all these schools except Rutgers last time anyway so I figured wth....

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
I heard about it from a friend that didn't tell me it was a Netflix production. Just said that it was good show and I should watch it. I thought it came on satellite and cable television. Should have done my own research about it.Mojosodope wrote:Its a Netflix ProductionThePiedPiper wrote:I have been waiting to watch House of Cards. They arent. But are on HBO GO if you have HBO. Would also recommend boardwalk empire if you have HBO. Great series.AAJD2B wrote:You've gotta watch Homeland.californiauser wrote:Thanks for the recommendations. I marathoned House of Cards a few months back. I can't wait for the next season

you should also try Masters of Sex. it's about Bill Masters, a surgeon who was interested in human sexuality so he conducted a bunch of studies on couples having sex and individuals masturbating. it's great and it has Lizzy Caplan (Janice) from Mean Girls.californiauser wrote:Thanks for the recommendations.
