Can anyone answer this? Should I not expect a second interview since my first was already with the new Director?
The point of the second interview is to speak with the new director. I can't imaginge that she would interview you twice in a two week period.

Thanks! I was just wondering because it seems like everyone's first interview on this forum was with someone besides the New Director so it seems as though in in a curious position.

SEO messed up your interview schedule. Some people (according to their e-mail from last night) were asked to interview 3 times accidentally.

Does anyone know exactly when SEO begins? I know it's late May, but is there a specific date?

Are you sure they messed it up? I interviewed two weeks ago. Is it possible that by then they wanted some people to just interview with the new Director? I originally had someone else as my interviewer in my confirmation email but then they sent me an updated confirmation changing it to Van Ann Bui on the same day, at the same time as my original interview was supposed to be.

I'm just basing it off the communications I've received from them. In the e-mail before the one quoted below, the director was 'introduced' and it implied that they wanted an interview with one SEO associate and then the director. Either SEO made a mistake or your original interviewer could not make it. It seems bad that their interviewing system is so messed up and out of order..

"We apologize to those who accidentally received a second e-mail to sign up for a follow-up phone interview for the SEO Law Fellowship. We are experiencing a glitch in our system. If you have already spoken with our Director, Van Ann, or have already scheduled your follow-up interview with her, please disregard that e-mail (if you believe you signed up for a “third” interview, could you kindly cancel that appointment?)"

Edit: I don't there's any reason to be concerned about your own interview. SEO should have in their records who you interviewed with and make another interview if necessary.

I submitted a screenshot of Chicago's status checker. It now says "WE are so glad you are joining us in the fall. Now that you have deposited..."

You can also send in the thing where it says "Fees - deposit 500.00. Remaining balance - 0.00" if your status checker has that. Chicago asked for a check so mine is on its way and could take a while to cash so I chose not to go that route.

Anyone that deposited heard back yet? Or have a time frame how long it took from deposit - admit ??

Planning on sending my deposit after I get my Yale ding this week... and I'm debating applying for other jobs in case. It'd be nice to know before I start my interviewing process ..

I want to deposit for this but scholarships are still being negotiated and I don't want them to not consider me for an increase if I deposit

I just emailed and asked. basically, like, I'm planning on depositing, but that might change due to a few holds/waitlists/scholarships. Should I wait or send my confirmation now. I'll pm you when I get an answer *If and when I get an answer

re the scholarship: I asked and they said that right now they were focused on program selection, and once that was done they would turn to the scholarship. It seems as if it's the same committee reviewing both, so I think it will be a while before we hear back on that.

My second interview had completely different questions from my first. Wasn't asked about firms I'd like to work at, and behavioral questions took up at least half the interview. The new director seems really great, though. I liked her a lot.
