I want to reaffirm what Gaia said, and note that a 160/3.98 is strong everywhere. As an AA female, you have a shot at even HYS with that combination; a GPA that high sends a really strong signal to schools. Also, the top schools are looking to increase diversity, and are more likely to overlook things like averaging scores for someone like you. You could further help your cause by writing an LSAT addendum, but I'm not sure that's even necessary.
Good luck with your cycle, though I have a feeling you won't need any to do well.
Wow, you guys weren't kidding...in at UVA as of 30 minutes ago.
My head is spinning.

Congratulations!!

haha I'm sorry... you think it's bizarre that anyone could expect above a 173 or that a URM does? That's a mildly disappointing comment... Maybe you need to reconsider your expectations. I met a fellow URM the other day who went to Harvard got a 3.8 and then 180d his first LSAT.
Also, I posted my story elsewhere. It's a test center hold because of noise in the center.

It's pretty obvious that she meant the former. And playing the race card won't work with Gaia, she's a URM at Harvard.

This is the URM forum.. I'm aware she is a URM. That doesn't preclude her from underestimating other URMs. I wasn't sure what she meant though, since there are quite a few TLSers on here, who expect higher than 173 on their LSATs. I think it's reasonable... anyways. dumb conversation; I was just a little taken aback by the comment- seemed to imply that I was some sort of troll. Don't want to have to deal with that. I'm just like every other psycho overly obsessed TLSer on here lol
I haven't met any other TLS member quite as nutty as you. Sorry.

Underestimating URMs, huh? Yeah.....that's a pretty unsubstantiated comment. I don't think that questioning someone who appears to be weirdly naive as to assume a score in the 99%ile constitutes as an underestimation. There's a difference between expecting/hoping for a score in 99%ile and assuming that you actually have a score in the 99%ile without actually seeing your score. I have absolutely no reason to discourage another fellow URM, and quite honestly, the posters who are most familiar with me know that I would probably be the last person to do such a thing.
But I'm not about to derail this thread. So...if you feel like you have anything more to say to me, please feel free to PM me.

I've known GAIA for a while now on this forum and can say confidently that she is not this type of person at all.
Hopefully people can let this topic die and move it elsewhere, such as PMs or the lounge, and this thread can return to its intended purpose.
