Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
Did anyone get the letter from Yale saying essentially:
"Hey each year we ask for a small group of competitively scoring applicants who are minority status from LSAC and you were one of them, but we also see you haven't applied yet and we think you should here's a packet of sample essays and fee waiver app etc..."
Now I KNOW my scores (3.87/165) are nowhere near competitive enough for Yale so I am figuring this is just yield protection and I am trying to talk myself out of falling for it and applying to a school I figured I didn't have a chance in hell of getting into...
So if someone who also got this letter could tell me their thoughts i'd appreciate it, cause even though I know these packets and fee waivers don't usually mean anything I've convinced myself that this is some special letter for that "small group of competitive minority students" and that it might actually mean I have a shot...and I just can't....can I?

So did he tell you on the phone about your scholarship or did you get an email?2013hopeful:D wrote:I got a call from the Dean at UCLA this morning! Accepted and offered full tuition scholarship! I was shocked, I can't remember what the deans last name was.
I also got in (YAY) but he did not say anything about money to me.

Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
Just checked my University of Michigan status checker and got the following message:
"Congratulations! You’re in! Because we’re wowed by flash drives and yellow portfolios and personalized notes, we are sending you a large envelope with a formal acceptance letter and lots of information about Michigan Law. But because we are wowed by YOU, we didn’t want to make you wait to find out."
Pretty Stoked to break into top 10!!

Has anyone seen sightings of the OP lately so he can create my little GPA/LSAT combo poll?

Wow. I'm shocked, Wormfather. If you're priority reserve, then I'm definitely getting dinged.Wormfather wrote:Just got Priority Reserve at Duke 3.92/162 AA male. I'm going into the LSAT on Saturday and I'm going to show them what a mistake they just made.
Still...it stings.

Hey Everyone,
First time posting in this thread. AA Male 167 3.35 from top 10 liberal arts school.
So far in at: GULC, Berkeley, and UVA(20K/year)
Deferred: Cornell
I applied mid-September which I think really has helped. Was not expecting anything this early if at all.
Good luck to everyone!

This makes me happy for you, but sad/worried for me. I have a slightly higher GPA/LSAT and I've only heard from G-Town. Don't get me wrong, I'd be honored to attend GULC, especially if I receive a scholarship. Still...

Congrats! I'm till waiting on my LSAT but my GPA is slightly lower than yours (like .04 lower) and I've been worried about it. GULC and Berkeley are two of my favorites!mtrrw wrote:Hey Everyone,
