Thanks for responding! I forgot to add that I had a 3.98 GPA and double majored in English and Philosophy. I'm primarily worried about my LSAT scores though that, if averaged, would be below the 160 mark, which seems like the danger zone for URM candidates.

I want to reaffirm what Gaia said, and note that a 160/3.98 is strong everywhere. As an AA female, you have a shot at even HYS with that combination; a GPA that high sends a really strong signal to schools. Also, the top schools are looking to increase diversity, and are more likely to overlook things like averaging scores for someone like you. You could further help your cause by writing an LSAT addendum, but I'm not sure that's even necessary.

Good luck with your cycle, though I have a feeling you won't need any to do well.

lulz...During socratic I feel horribly self-conscious because I know my voice is distinct...especially when I get too comfortable or passionate about something and I get all cockney with it. I asked a question in front of two sections at the end of a practice exam review last week, and there was brief silence right before my civ pro teased me about my accent in front of everybody He was just kidding, but ugh...I rarely volunteer my opinion in class because of it. Oh well *shrugs.....Aside from that, Cambridge is just lovely.

Hey! I have a friend who is in denial about her chances of getting into T1 schools.
She is an AA female with a 3.87 and a 156.

I think she as a good shot at BC, BU, Emory too. Maybe UVA? She wants to stay in the Atlantic area. Am I wrong for thinking this? Are there other schools she should be applying to? Anywhere that will forgive her school because of her GPA?

Wait.. so you know your october score but LSAC just hasnt released it to schools yet? Or are you just 100% confident it is over 173?

I don't know my oct. score, although I am pretty positive it's 173+
even if LSAC decides not to release it though, I'll retake in December and then at the very end of december hopefully it's 173 +... that's why i said december is 3.5 173+ hopefully, because my GPA should jump a point and I'll probably have a new LSAT score.
I'm teaching for two years first anyways, I just want to get this done!

This is the first time I've ever heard of anyone being "pretty positive" about scoring in the 99%ile...

And why hasn't LSAC released it?

I almost didn't want to say it but your whole story just seems too bizarre to me
