So my mentor came in barnes and nobles, closed my computer, and told me I was done studying for this LSAT. Said that I was risking burnout.... He scored a 178... so I think I'm going to listen.... so the studying has ended. Feels good surprisingly... although I really wanted to do the Zones game over

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
I think that criticizing the gap between what people and institutions say and what they actually mean is a worthwhile endeavor. I think that having a discussion about what tangible social benefits diversity (in every way, not just racial) brings about could also go a long way toward encouraging more widespread acceptance of minority viewpoints. After all, as long as people think diversity is just PC BS, they're probably going to resist measures to increase it.
But LOL LOL LOL at the person on page one of that thread who cited urban dictionary as a legitimate source for a discussion of diversity issues. That is not the kind of thinking I'd hope to see among our future lawyers--and it is not the kind of thinking I want to deal with at the moment.
I didn't read far enough to get angry. Just disappointed. It's another opportunity for fruitful discussion wasted by trolling idiots. I liked John_rizzy's contribution, though. He's stellar when he's angry.
