Where is this quote from? Not that I don't trust you, I just want to read over the study/whatever it's from out of interest.
It was mentioned in last year's URM thread I think.

The link that they had below it no longer works though. It was from something UT posted.

I'm not included in the 63 :(

But yeah, I mean, standardized testing can leave much to be desired. LSAT prep material is really expensive too for lower-class folks of any race.
Agree. Also, I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I have self-doubt. It especially took a hit when I studied hard for the LSAT and didn't get the score I wanted for September. Which leads me to question why I am even posting on this thread since I'm waiting until next cycle, haha. In any case, I'm proud of all of you here, the work you put in, the schools you will go to, and how kick-ass you are going to be. Thanks for the inspiration.

Lol, the more the merrier. And yeah. Not sure if you're referring to stereotype threat at all, but that's also an issue minorities face during standardized testing.

Nice to see a little bit more action in here. It's awesome to see fellow URMs getting into all these T25 and T14s. I'm hoping app news starts picking up after his upcoming LSAT once this huge batch of people submits and schools get a better sense of what their applicant pools look like.

True, but I think I'm making solid progress and I'm only using the PTs. The cost was about 100
the numbers are pretty sad. I always look at the breakdown of the class composition of each school on the NALP website and Stanford only had 4 black men in their most recent 1L class; that's up from 3 the previous year
Wow that is awful. You would never see something that bad at the undegraduate level for Stanford.

It's from a link to UT, but the link is down.

Decided to look into the 4 schools I really want to attend: Stanford, Virginia, UT, Duke, Vandy. Respectively, the number of AA 1Ls are 8, 16, 17, 14, 13. This is basically like how my AP classes were in high school lol.

Oh wow. I didn't even think about the fact that schools might be wondering what the Dec LSAT scores will potentially bring in.

I've concluded I'll probably here back by NEXT Friday at the earliest from some places, which would be two weeks. Only made that prediction because I'm UR at three schools right now and it looks like GW's turnaround from complete to decision has been a couple weeks for some people based on LSN. Odds are mid-December will be when I start getting more action. I'm currently UR2 at UVA but haven't interviewed/been invited to interview so I'm feeling skeptical about it.

And here I thought the LSAT portion was going to be most stressful....

Hey man We have pretty similar stats. We should follow each other on LSN.

What are y'alls LSNs? I have similar stats as well. (No LSN, I'll probably make one when I get more decisions in.)

I'm LITERALLY going crazy constantly refreshing my email, checking TLS and logging into application checkers.
And tips on how to get my mind off this?
I feel like I need some type of Application Anonymous therapy for real. #Help.

It's definitely hard to wait but try to relax because once you start school there will be way less time to do so.

I've been doing things related to law or LS without actually being obsessively checking my app statuses (though I still check them a lot lol). I have a list of law-related movies to get through and I've spent the last day or so "cleaning up" my Twitter.

Aw, sorry to hear that.

When were you planning on applying? Perhaps just take a cycle off and try again next year.
