Any URM get a JS1 today?
It's been super quiet in here but hopefully it will pick up after the Dec LSAT? Seems like there are fewer URM applicants on TLS this cycle...

Prepping for a retake. It's lookin' good (179 on my last PT). I've had a breakthrough of sorts, now I'm just striving for consistency.lc39 wrote:Any URM get a JS1 today?

JS1 for me, but not in the most recent wave. Sorry for taking forever to report it.lc39 wrote:Any URM get a JS1 today?

How is everybody's cycle going? Not a whole lot of URM news so far it seems.

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
anyone else receive a prospectus/letter/misc. from yale? spoke directly of minority status.
thoughts? i guess it's no different from any other unsolicited communication, although i'd like to think yale is less likely to troll people with invitations to apply just to increase their selectivity

I got that from Yale too a couple days ago. My numbers aren't very competitive for what it's worth. My gpa is, but not lsat

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
After fully reading that Yale brochure I think I'm going to retake and apply there. The lowest lsat score they admitted was 152 so all of us have a chance. I'm going to write a new, more radical PS. No need to be safe when my odds are already zilch lol

My softs are definitely not competitive for Yale but I applied anyway. They don't call it a "Yale Mary" for nothing.

Exactly lol. My softs are terrible, besides starting a profitable company I've done nothing.

Apps submitted in mid to late October.
Predicting that I'm well on my way to a WL at UVA since I have heard nothing from them in over a month and it seems like they're pretty quick to invite people to interview if they really want to admit them :/

Checking in!
GPA: 3.6
LSAT: 167
URM: 1/2 AA
After being hugely disappointed with my LSAT score in September (panicked on LG and ended up going -8), I was planning to retake in December but am just not there mentally so have switched gears and am working on apps. Unfortunately, my LSAT indecision means that I will be applying late (late Dec/early Jan) and without an improved score...so my cycle is already not off to a great start. Hoping for some big surprises but am very stressed about it. Planning to blanket the T14 -- my top choice at the moment would be UMich (I really like the location and campus culture). Jealous of the early acceptances
Good luck to all!

1/2 AA doesnt make a diff, still AA. From what I've seen on mylsn, you have a great chance at all the T14s expect Y.gold33 wrote:Checking in!

You will have a great cycle with those stats. And if you retake for a 170+ you have a chance at full rides at CCN.

Pretty sure they don't intend to ED anywhere, considering that wasn't in their post and their top choice is UMich, whose ED deadline was Nov 15.mvp99 wrote:Don't ED anywhere.gold33 wrote:Checking in!
