Yeah, my numbers aren't great so I'm kind of expecting a PR or WL, but you never know!blkstl wrote:3 days deep for me. I'm cautiously optimistic about getting my first order of good news or bad news next week.okaygo wrote:Complete at Duke!

You guys have discussed UCLA quite a bit. But besides Michigan being known as having an intolerant culture, I highly recommend you take a very long walk around the University of Chicago and UVA campuses if you seriously end up consider attending. They are known as the most conservative T-14 schools. They undoubtedly have very racist cultures. This is my primary reason for not liking either one of the schools. I was surrounded by a very high level of conservative racism at my undergrad and I am not going to do that again for grad. skool. It is psychologically damaging being surrounded by a culture of racism for years at a time. I have never been the same. I cannot stand my undergrad school. I haven't visited the campus in years. All of the T-14-- because they are elite schools-- have racial climate problems at their campuses, but some are worse than others.

I am going to apply next cycle. I wanted to apply this cycle, but it isn't going to happen. I need to establish ties to where I want to settle down before going to LS.Dr.Zer0 wrote:Bizzybone, are you in law school already or applying this cycle?

Doesn't it take more than a year to establish ties?bizzybone1313 wrote:I am going to apply next cycle. I wanted to apply this cycle, but it isn't going to happen. This would normally be true if I was seeking a completely different area of the country. But in my case, I am simply solidifying my interest to a more specific city in the SAME geographic location in which I already have significant ties.Mojosodope wrote:Doesn't it take more than a year to establish ties?bizzybone1313 wrote:I am going to apply next cycle. I was tempted to go pick up a new Xbox 360 + a 32 inch flat screen for $99 a piece at walmart.Mojosodope wrote:black friday starts thursday now?

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
I still have a box tv. I use to have it on top of a table at my $550 a month studio. This "friend" of mine one day was making fun of my TV and saying I should buy a flat screen. 4 months later, he was getting evicted from his apt because he couldn't pay rent. He tried to pawn his flat screen to me.Nova wrote:I was tempted to go pick up a new Xbox 360 + a 32 inch flat screen for $99 a piece at walmart.Mojosodope wrote:black friday starts thursday now?

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
I'm so sick of consuming. I bought all this food for thanksgiving, ate too much, now you want me to wait in line to spend the rest of my money on more stuff I probably don't need. Maybe I'm delirious when I'm full but this just doesn't seem right.
Black Friday shouldn't start until Friday, retail is cray. Profits over everything, huh?
