Checking in - realizing how little activity there is in the URM Forum makes me realize how few URM students apply to top schools .

Dang, I never thought about it like that. I know i'm trying to study hard for the LSAT because my gpa will probably be a 3.45. Even with that gpa, I don't think I have a shot at a top 20. Most people that post on here regularly have amazing numbers.

I wouldn't let people's posts deter you. A 3.45 can most certainly get you into some most T14s with the right LSAT. Just keep studying and get that LSAT as high as you can.

I'm a late bloomer, graduated 7 years ago looking at 2T and 3T schools. Award 30k/yr at Stetson but aiming for GSU where I completed undergrad, long shot for UGA. Only thing keeping me back is a low GPA but that was mostly due to documented disability. Love this forum topic, Btw

Have you checked out myLSN yet at all? Depending on your GPA/LSAT combo and how low "low" is to you, you might be surprised of your chances. I know when I first started using this site, I didn't know much of anything about splitters and URM and all that mess so I was looking at like T30 and some even higher than that because of my lower GPA until I came on here and people told me about how you can sort of counterbalance your GPA with your LSAT score/informed me of the URM boost. People on here convinced me to apply to T14 and some of the ones just outside of T14. Like I said, I'm not sure of your stats, but definitely put them in to myLSN (warning: sample size is small) and see what it says about your chances at UGA.

I am Cuban + Peruvian and I guess people on TLS think I am a lesser degree of URM, but idk.

I don't have any decisions yet but I applied almost 2 wks ago and am UR at a couple schools so far. Applied mostly to T14, excluding schools in Cali and Penn, also a couple just outside of the T14.

I have not withdrawn the app, I kinda thought that WL was just like putting the app on the back burner and that I didnt have to take any actions.

sent UCLA, GT and WUSTL in mid September. All the others were spread out through October and early November.
