Is that merit or need based?narwhalsrfun wrote:Just heard today about 150,000 to Georgetown and nothing from UVA (so many loans, oh so many loans). I am definitely considering GULC much more heavily now, but wondered which schools would negotiate with their offer? Thoughts would be much appreciated.
What other offers do you have? Negotitate. Work your way up and show UVa your best offer.
No way UVA is worth 150k + interest over GULC.
Im in a similar situation (120k), however, I am a little weary at GULCs placement and I would feel much more comfortable at Cornell or NU. Im waiting on their offers before I attempt to get one of them to match.

How do you find out if a Georgetown offer is need or merit based?

Hey CB, its merit, but I feel you. I'm excited with the offer, but I emailed Cornell too and I'm hoping for the best because the placement does kind of scare me.

Thanks Cc. With respect to your question..I would pick Yale all day every day over Stanford. It's Yale, man. How does one say no to Yale and not live to regret it?cc78 wrote:Well, guys, after a flurry of emails and form submissions this morning, I am down to just two offers under consideration. I'd love to hear anyone's advice with respect to Yale v. Stanford.
Here's who I left today:
Chicago
Columbia
NYU
Penn
Northwestern
Cornell
Georgetown
Texas
BC
Wake
I hope that me stepping out gets some folks in here who are waiting some calls/some money.

Forget the warm weather for 3 more years, you'll be fending off CA offers with a freakin' stick. YLS is almost mythical to me

I was going to come, but alas.....work. I'll be there at the next one and then immediately go down to Penn. Nice easy schedule flow.Tr3 wrote:Im here at CLS! Anyone here?

Awwww. They are on my mainstay list. I Really felt the warmth at their reception. It felt like a family reunion more than anything.lc39 wrote:Withdrew from Penn today.

Congrats on all the acceptances! If possible, I definitely recommend attending ASWs. It really impacted law school decision.

Went complete in late November, interviewed mid January, and admitted in the big wave during early February. Didn't have any UR updates until a few days after the interview, however.jlk411 wrote:when did you go complete?Flokkness wrote:Received a surprisingly good (not great) offer from Chicago today, feel free to PM for details.

Are you still taking questions on Chi?applelover wrote:Congrats on all the acceptances! If possible, I definitely recommend attending ASWs. It really impacted law school decision.
If so, what was it about visiting Chi that made you want to attend?
