1.) What start date did you guys put down for SEO?

2.) As for preferred cities well it's kind of dependent on where I'm going to school—I want to go to the right school for me that isn't financially crazy and I'm still waiting to hear back from schools and about merit/total aid. If I end up in DMV region then DC makes sense, South then ATL makes sense, NorCal then SF/SV makes sense, SoCal then LA makes sense, New England/NYC then NYC, Midwest then Chicago, etc..... so is there any flexibility with that?
1. SEOers all start at the same time, so late May. program will probably start right after memorial day. We had to be in NY on Memorial Day.

2. pick anywhere you want to work, they will place you closest to your school most likely.
I'm pretty concerned about this, too. This is just anecdotal, but I have a friend who is involved with SEO's other programs and he said that pretty much all SEO interns in SF/SV go to B or S, which indicates to me that they do indeed try to place you in the same market as your school. I'm crossing my fingers for SF/SV (if I'm fortunate enough to get SEO) despite wherever I end up for school.

if you have strong ties to a certain area you may be able to get somewhere not near your school but its unlikely. But remember the city you do your SEO summer in doesnt have to be the city you want to practice in. Most likely you can summer in another office at the same firm either your 1L or 2L summer. I'm doing it this summer.
Will they let you go to a firm where you live currently? Can I stay in DC for SEO even if I'm going to Columbia in August, for example? Or will only GULC people get DC?

Columbia can get you DC, a good number of Columbia people were in DC last year.

Neurotic doesn't post in these parts any longer...that's all. I realize now that he does post in the google group, so y'all knew a couple of days before me. My bad!

He/she said something along the lines of "I just wanted a white boy LSAT score."

He/she requested the banhammer from the mods. Something like "I cant stay away from TLS so please ban me."

The funniest part of that long thread of complaints was LC's earnest request to be OP of this thread sandwhiched between cursing and anger. Lol

Haha, threads like that remind me why I don't lounge. Mod was super nice and PM'd me right away though so my tiny voice was evidently still heard amid all the shouting.

You da real mvp.
:/ Sorry Wahr. I know Brut shook down NYU despite being an ED applicant so I hope polite persistence ultimately pays off for you with some $$. Although I know you will be happy at Chicago regardless!

Really sorry, Wahr.

I didn't hear anything from Chicago re: money. Am I just too recent of an admit or are they not giving me anything?
