I've never been a good test taker when it comes to multiple choice (anything with a short answer or essay questions I've always done well on) but there's always something about multiple choice. Even when I feel good about it I usually wind up with an unpleasant surprise. I'm definitely that person who gets down to two choices and picks the wrong one, hopefully in the next month I'll find a way to fix that.lawprospie wrote: I scored 7 pts below my PT average....I've should've known...the LSAT tests can be pretty variable in my opinion. The funny thing is I always did better....both raw and conversion score wise...with "harder" tests

honored for acceptance at any HYS. im still wavering on my public interest or corporate path. so the HYS LRAPs would help make PI a more stable career path.chiach1 wrote:Great number. What is your top choice?2013hopeful:D wrote:adding on to: harvard, stanford, berkeley

TRUTH...I've gotten near perfect grades on tests towards the end of my college years....at a top 5 school...but can't score above 160 on the LSAT. I feel mighty slow :crosses eyes:Psib337 wrote:I've never been a good test taker when it comes to multiple choice (anything with a short answer or essay questions I've always done well on) but there's always something about multiple choice. Also, question for my fellow URMS...how does one note that they want to hand in their apps now, but have it held until Dec scores come out? I'm done with my apps and want to get them out. I read on the Chicago website that as long as your signed up for Dec then they will already hold your app, unless you specifically tell them not to. Is this the case for all schools or should I email them or write a note in the addendum space my plans?
Congrats to all those who did well on the Oct test btw!

I have a 3.61 from a prestigious school, but only a 158...retaking in Dec...thought that NYU fee waiver and info about it's ED program was looking mighty tempting.

What does the unsolicited waiver actually mean? I mean, does it mean they want you to attend? Or they just want people to ding?chiach1 wrote:Unsolicited fee waivers from uva, duke and nyu.

I've gotten unsolicited waivers from uva, duke and penn and my numbers are 3.58/158. Wouldn't it be pointless to ding me since I'm really not a spectacular candidate numbers wise to being with? Or is that just wishful thinking?

So fellow URM's, have you had a lot of haters trying to discourage you from going to law school? I have had so many. I could tell stories for days. I am sure a lot of you have had people trying to encourage you to enroll at the local TTTT law school.

I did ED NYU, applied last friday. Hoping against hope. I lived in Bowery and Spring and let me tell you all. NYU is possibly in the best location ever. It is in heaven, there's cobblestone streets, french cafes, hipster bars and indie free museums around to your hearts' content. Every time I go down there it's so beautiful I wanna cry.
(btw Columbia is in Harlem and full of biglaw hores, not that I'm biased on anything)
Oh I live in NYC.

I'll take what I can get at this point! I'm nervous because of how unpredictable URM cycles are. I have some people telling me I'll be okay, and some people telling me I'm screwed. ugh

I've gotten quite a few fee waivers, but here are the ones I actually care about:
Unsolicited Fee Waivers: Michigan, Chicago, Columbia, UPenn, Cornell, Northwestern, UVA, Duke, UCLA, University of Arizona
Solicited Fee Waivers: Georgetown (TFA alum)
Still hoping for one from NYU . I can't believe I've gotten all of those, and yet Arizona State and New Mexico won't give me fee waivers! Grrr.
