I'm starting to think about reapplying next year (I applied late and got turned down at one of my top choices today), but I'm scared the schools that give me good $$$ this year won't see me as positively as a reapplicant who turned down offers before =/
In other news, I got into Michigan. First t14 acceptance. PM for stats.

In at T14 via letter! Wasn't expecting it because my status checker never changed from complete. PM me for school if interested.
As I've said before I promise to share everything publicly in full detail when the cycle is over. & if we've PM'd before chances are you already know my real #'s and hella personal info about me etc. anyway.

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
Meant to post this here (ended up posting it in the am I considered a URM thread).
Do schools have a deadline for deferring? I am beginning to consider my options for this cycle. I was wondering if it were possible to sign up for the June test (gamble), make a deposit at my top institution so far come June (Berkeley), and then withdraw/defer depending on my LSAT score. Would this be possible? I'm thinking not, but thought I'd ask somebody who has more application experience (i.e. more than one cycle).

Schools in the T14 vary with their deferral policies. The higher you go the more liberal they are (though I think Yale is a little more picky at least in writing, I think). With the schools that are okay with deferrals, the standard deposit deadline is the deadline to request deferrals.Oskosh wrote:Meant to post this here (ended up posting it in the am I considered a URM thread).

I'm not sure I understand your strategy though, how does deferring help you after your LSAT retake? You should just attend your first choice or withdraw from all schools and reapply the next cycle.

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
Oh, sorry. That was one of those in-my-head moments. I've tentatively committed to many things for the following year. I've apprised my principal of my intent to apply to law school, and have kept him abreast of acceptances/ASWs, etc. So if my LSAT weren't high enough, and if i were to stay in the classroom a 3rd year. I really don't know why I included it, though. Brain fart lol.cc78 wrote:Schools in the T14 vary with their deferral policies. Do your principal a favor Oshkosh, stay the third year. Law school will always be there.

Oh, I know. I'm leaning heavily toward that option, especially since I teach kinder - where the kids (at least for both of my years) shower you with love and adulation (we have our bad days, though). I am just waiting for this cycle to end to determine whether I would defer or re-take my LSAT. If by some miracle I am granted admission to a T3, I will more than likely defer. If not, I will re-take the LSAT (which is why I was wondering if you could defer post-LSAT, like around July lol).
