If I don't pay a seat deposit until the end of the month are my chances lower for getting an internship?
I asked this on my interview. She said they generally don't extend an offer until 2 weeks after you submit proof of a seat deposit (not just acceptance). And 2 weeks is the quickest offer. They receive a flood of deposit proof at the end of April, so you're not disadvantaged.

I chose my city because it's where I ultimately want to end up. I also thought I would love to go to school in the area (which I totally would), but I ended up having other things come up and will be on the opposite side of the country. I really hope this doesn't influence SEO's decision on my application, but I wouldn't be surprised if they take it into account.
On my interview I asked about what role school decisions make on placement. She said some firms prefer XYZ schools and they look at the pool who fits that profile. Other placements mostly result from where you're residing currently/hometown or where you're going to school.

Of course, this is after sorting through other details to decide if they want you.

Well last year people weren't asked to reformat their resumes until they had already been accepted...

Yeah, I think all of this is strange, too. Hopefully we start hearing soon! It's a bit unsettling not knowing what I'll be up to in two months.
Seriously, +1,000.

This waiting game happens every year. By applying you have entered the lotto, just have to be patient and see if your number is called. It's well worth it.

Has anyone had a recommendation request yet? When do they normally ask for recommendations? Looks like the form to add recommenders isn't even accessible any more...

I have no feedback on my resume, which I will take as a sign that it was good enough.

Anybody know how seo would view double depositing? One school I'm thinking of would play perfectly (I think?) into my top city choice but the other school I'm on the fence with is ranked much higher and I know seo cares about rank. Anybody have insight on what to do?

I don't know about that. I'm a believer in honesty; are you leaning toward one over the other?

After sending in an updated transcript, haven't heard back. I guess they are waiting for us to deposit? Hmm

Not cool for SEO or for life in general. You want to go to the law school you'll be most happy. SEO cares about rank but not to the point where they will foreclose the opportunity to a student heading to a school right outside the T14. The rule of thumb is to get into any T14 or schools right outside of it (UT, Emory, GW, Vandy comes to mind) to get into SEO.

Then again, there are people who are heading to HYS who were rejected from SEO. There are a number of factors that go into the process and rank is just one of those factors.

Yes. If you haven't already done so, send an email copy of your seat deposit to SEO ASAP. I remember getting my offer from SEO around this time of the year.

Mine was kind of a printout of my online academic summary page, so they requested I get an unofficial transcript directly from my registrar. This was like a month ago, though.
