I honestly don't think it will matter, however, if you want to work in a certain market, having experience in the largest market would be relevant.90convoy wrote:I just thought of this...so what if you want to intern at an NYC firm, but you don't ultimately want to end up in NYC...would it be smart to not go for NYC then?

Re: 2015 SEO Corporate Law Applicants
I have a question about my LSAT score and the timing of the application.
Would it be better to submit my app in the first round with my old LSAT score, or to submit in a later round with my new (hopefully higher) LSAT?
Also, would include both, or just the highest score?

Honestly, we're all going to be waiting for a while anyways, so you might as well wait until you have your best app possible and then submit.PRoark wrote:I have a question about my LSAT score and the timing of the application.

I was going to submit today for the first round. But then I didn't have a professional picture saved and I need a haircut.
Looks like a bunch of spiders having a meeting on my head.

Doesn't look too messy to me. It would appear that you're focused on biglaw/corporate legal services, although you've held a few different positions.luuma wrote:Hi,
I have been out of school since August 2012. I worked as an assistant in big law (1.5yrs), and now as an in house paralegal(1.5yrs in may 2015) at a large financial firm. Is it worth applying to SEO for the 0L summer? Would my resume look too messy as if I'm scatter? Or could it be a great boost for my career and 1L/2L summer prospects?
Thanks.
I've asked a similar question of past SEO people. Their consensus seemed to be do SEO if you want Biglaw. It raises your odds of being hired as an attorney at a biglaw firm no matter what your previous experience is.

I got an email today from the SEO Career Internship Programs LinkedIn that says "SEO Career Internship Program would like to stay in touch on LinkedIn." There is an option to confirm that I know SEO Career Internship. I'm always suspicious of social media requests. Has anyone else received this? Or heard of this happening? In addition, is that a good sign?

Was this email from LinkedIn or from SEO? I didn't receive an email (I turned off LinkedIn emails) but I did get a request from them on LinkedIn.FairchildFLT wrote:I got an email today from the SEO Career Internship Programs LinkedIn that says "SEO Career Internship Program would like to stay in touch on LinkedIn." The email is from a @LinkedIn.com email so it originated on LinkedIn.vitamindoll wrote:Was this email from LinkedIn or from SEO? Re: 2015 SEO Corporate Law Applicants
I received an SEO request. I accepted them because there's nothing bad on my LinkedIn and it's basically giving them my resume before I even finish applying. I don't really see any problem.FairchildFLT wrote:The email is from a @LinkedIn.com email so it originated on LinkedIn.vitamindoll wrote:Was this email from LinkedIn or from SEO? I wasn't implying there was any harm in accepting it. I was just confirming it was legitimate.Atmosphere wrote:I received the linkedin request as well, I see no harm in accepting it.

I received the linkedin request, too. I thought it was odd because I have not yet submitted my app, I've only started it.

I may be wrong, but it might have something to do with us permitting LSAC to release our numbers to schools.Tr3 wrote:I received the linkedin request, too. I thought it was odd because I have not yet submitted my app, I've only started it.

Or the fact that many of us have started our applications and saved them, which are saved on their servers, and they quite possibly can see what we have completed thus far. Another alternative.Atmosphere wrote:I may be wrong, but it might have something to do with us permitting LSAC to release our numbers to schools.Tr3 wrote:I received the linkedin request, too. Do we need to upload our personal statements before they evaluate our applications to determine if we get an interview? (since it's a supplemental section only for law applicants)?

Re: 2015 SEO Corporate Law Applicants
I am assuming that it is required for the application to be considered entirely. Especially since it is catered only to law applicants.Tr3 wrote:Do we need to upload our personal statements before they evaluate our applications to determine if we get an interview? That's what I figured. I was just unclear since it said that part of the app could be updated at anytime. Wasn't sure if that would influence a decision to get an interview or not.MTH2 wrote:I am assuming that it is required for the application to be considered entirely.
