OP, you'll be in at Loyola NO and Southern. Possibly (and I do mean possibly) LSU. Apply to all of the schools with similar medians as those two that you would want to attend. You should be pleasantly surprised.

OP, you can probably get in somewhere, but I think you should take an LSAT prep course and retake the exam. They are pricey, but from my own experience completely worth it. I'm sure if you take a class and put in some serious study time, you can get up to a 160, and with your personal statement and soft factors be competitive at some much better schools. At the very least you'd get more scholarship consideration at the schools you listed. If you don't want biglaw, you need to come out of law school with as little debt as possible.

Sooo, I basically only read the original post....

I have a 151 and I got into tier one, PT. Also, I'm white so no AA boost. But I also was evacuated/helped rebuild post-K NOLA. That was part, not all, of my personal statement. That said, I also have WE, which they cited in my admit letter, and my GPA was 3.6 (not stellar, but a little bit higher than 2.7). I applied early, took a shot and busted ass on all the rest of my app. And I figured if I got in nowhere, I'd just retake (had a LSAC fee waiver).

I always think about what the Dean of Admissions from UNC told me at a seminar in July last year: If it was SOLELY about the numbers, they'd stick everyone in a spreadsheet, sort high to low and take the top candidates. There'd be no reason for AdComms and no reason for PS, DS or resumes.

Give it a shot where you want to go, and if you get rejected, retake.

Please note, I am eternally optimistic, but that hasn't failed me as I ended up exactly where I wanted to be (about 9pts below the median, so there).
