Nope, it came about a week or 2 afterward. However, this was the case back in December when I was accepted. Many people in the past few months (might even be all) received scholarship info in their actual acceptance packets.pollaclc wrote:dakatz- did your BU scholarship info come with your acceptance package?

Re: 2009- 2010 URM Stats and Cycle - In /Out /WL
Hi, I'm new to the forum all together (this is my first post
), but I was kind of looking for a place to tell people where I got in and ask for advice on how to decide.
Stats:
AA/Caribbean
Female
First-gen college student/first-gen American
School: Ivy
Major: Psychology w/two minors (African American Studies & East Asian Studies)
GPA: 3.3 (dept: 3.56)
LSAT: 159 (sept), 161 (dec)
I'm going in straight from undergrad so I'm currently still in my senior year at school, and don't have any real "work" experience other than summer-long internships in public service (urban communities). Other than that, I've been very active in student groups (prez of Caribbean organization) & our diversity center for all 4 years, worked 2 jobs for all 4 years.
Accepted:
Rutgers--Newark: $
Seton Hall: $$
Temple: $$ (full tuition)
Penn State: $$
Villanova: $$
BLS: $ (I dunno how much yet haven't received package in mail yet)
BU: dunno about money, but probably not
Cardozo: $$ (full tuition)
Fordham: (just got in today by email, so I dunno if I got money or not until I get the package in the mail)
Pending:
Columbia
NYU
UChicago
Harvard
Cornell
No rejections so far (thank God!), but I'm really confused about where I should go. My top choice is Columbia but I think I'm a shot in the dark. I wouldn't mind doing the whole Fordham or Cardozo thing, since I want to practice/work in either NY or NJ (NJ native).
Thanks for this thread guys! If anyone has any info/advice for me, please don't hesitate to write me or reply!

Yes, applying early matters a lot - especially when applying to 'reach' school. It cannot be understated.lawrencecis wrote:+1 Really want to know as well.Player21 wrote:Does applying early matter that much? Because, I actually didn't plan on applying until early December because I think I want to retake the LSAT in October.

I'd hold out for NYU. It seems like you have an interest in PI in which case its better than Columbia. Our stats are similar and I got in there. Maybe write them an LOCI?Chibi_koinu wrote:Hi, I'm new to the forum all together (this is my first post), but I was kind of looking for a place to tell people where I got in and ask for advice on how to decide.

I'm a long time lurker, so I thought I'd try to repay the awesome advice I got from reading these threads and post my cycle. Good luck to everyone here - and again, thanks so much for all that you've done to grow this wonderful community - it was tremendously helpful.

If Harvard and Columbia are the schools that you really want, then go for it. Regardless you should be quite proud as you have three stellar options.
On a side note: Duke has been really weird this cycle.
