I trust you! <3 But what you mean?
Well...specifically to this, I know wheresthethesis is going to be getting into HSCCN and you gotta give him as good a shot at Yale as anyone. The dude has like slap yo momma numbers, and I'm going to be optimistic and also state that he's an all around great guy who will be a credit to the profession I have no objective evidence to support this, but why not be upbeat?

In general, life does get better the longer you live it...you make peace with yourself and you also get to do more exciting stuff that actually aligns with your interests. You also develop a little skill that I find useful on TLS--not believing that your life can conceivably be over at 27 if you don't stay long enough in BigLaw to pay your loans.

Nah duder you're bout to kill it. If anything to cc's point I'm sure it's just because they're like "well duhhh, he's going to YSHCCN so is he even really going to consider us?"

SLS is def making it's way through Dec. They just acknowledged the various updates I sent in via email that no one had ever replied to. Although being a reverse splitter, I'm braced for the long wait. ((But it would be exciting though)).

I love Cal but I've decided to hold off on visiting until I get some $$ out of them. Especially since it would require missing work at a difficult time (my firm is going through a big change in March).

I've been out of contact due to a car crash so forgive me going back like four pages...

I would definitely apply to Dallas. I put Houston as 1 and I think California as 2...but given a chance I would prefer Dallas to CA.
Yikes! I wish you a speedy recovery. :-(

So are you going to update your preferences then to Dallas as #2? I wonder from where else other than UT are TX firms willing to take recruit students? SLS? The TX market seems so closed off.....?
I've actually got Houston, New York, DC as my preferences. I will definitely contact them about making Dallas my number 2 choice. Especially if they have a firm like Haynes and Boone on their Dallas partner list. Further research ongoing...

Where did you see that Dallas was added?
