Not me, how about you?
Good luck this week, everyone!
Nah, those places would probably be cool for a summer but not where I see myself long-term.

First acceptance!! Nothing crazy but nothing to blow off either, and after all the stuff I've been through over the past few years I can't tell you how good it feels.
Thank you guys again!

Where at dooder? Congrats.

I'll PM you, not trying to be "that guy" and I promise to be more forthcoming in the future, my #'s are just way too obvious and I'd like to maintain some anonymity until I've heard back from more schools.

PM'd. Re: nothing crazy but nothing to blow off, hope that didn't come off snarky. I can't say enough how thankful I am

Does anyone know a general idea on stats of being asked back by the firm you do SEO at? Poking around on LinkedIn shows most people do 1L SAs somewhere else. Is SEO intended to be exposure or recruiting?

From what I've gathered, most firms do not offer 1L SAs. I think a couple might tho. I do, however, think it's a great way to get an edge for 1L SA apps.
Edit: spelling

Random question:
I'm a lurker who'll be applying next cycle. I'm a Cuban/PR applicant, and was wondering if you guys have any insight as to how significant this boost typically is.
I've heard on several occasions that AAs receive the most attention, followed by MAs, and then, if any, PRs. Is this incorrect/misguided?

^^Well, sadly, unless you're Afro-Cuban, Cuban gets little to no boost, but being PR definitely helps. Conventional wisdom tells us that AA and PR I think get the strongest boost. AA is definitely tops.

That being said, I think you would still count as a diverse candidate, which schools still appreciate. Just not sure how much that translates into a boost

I have heard NA > AA > PR > MA.
Cubans are fairly overrepresented in higher ed, right? Anecdote: I feel like almost every Latin@ I knew in undergrad was (white) Cuban.

Praise JESUS! Hallelujah! Northwestern AJD accepted me! I'm excited about this 2 year in-and-out program! I've been waiting on them like XMAS. And Elana Nightingale totally legitimized this program.

Okay, random thought...I feel a little annoyed with NYU right now. I want to be considered for Merit Aid, but their scholarship application still asked for financial information. They also asked about other schools I've been admitted to. Lord, NYU, just tell me if you love me or nah...
ETA: CONGRATS DINI!!!! AJD is incredible. They better give you enough aid so you can take it. Yay only 2 years out of the workforce!

Thanks! I have enough of my GI Bill left to cover 2 years regardless of what school I go to. I only need to pay for 3L, so if you take 3L away, I'm DEBT FREE!!!!!!! Wooooohoooo!!!!! Sorry, ya'll. I didn't get any scholly offers like the superstars on here, so this is my version. lol.

I don't think there is anyway NA gets any bigger bump than AA. Just based on what I've seen on here and LSN. But then again it's been hard to find any solid information about NA cycles.
