Yeah it wasn't listed when I applied, and still has not been listed on their website. They sent out an email with all the new locations...I don't think I have it anymore...and I replied asking to change Dallas to my #1.ScottPilgrimv.TheLaw wrote:

Makes me wonder how everyone else chose their cities. Proximity to home or proximity to law school (biggest determinant of where your career starts)

Re: 2015 SEO Corporate Law Applicants
I chose my city because it's where I ultimately want to end up. I also thought I would love to go to school in the area (which I totally would), but I ended up having other things come up and will be on the opposite side of the country. I really hope this doesn't influence SEO's decision on my application, but I wouldn't be surprised if they take it into account.rion91 wrote:Makes me wonder how everyone else chose their cities. I wanted to end up in Texas after law school, then I got accepted to Texas as well so it worked out for me.rion91 wrote:Makes me wonder how everyone else chose their cities. Proximity to home or proximity to law school (biggest determinant of where your career starts)

I have a question folks. So I've been accepted to one of my top choice schools, but I am waiting on two more to hear back. Is it to my disadvantage to continue waiting as far as SEO goes? If I don't pay a seat deposit until the end of the month are my chances lower for getting an internship?

I guess it probably does have an effect, but you have you take into account that a lot of people are your same situation too.humph wrote:I have a question folks. BTW, how do we show proof of depositing? I am going to be depositing for a date this month and I'm not sure how I'd go about that...

+1 that it might hinder you if you don't submit proof in Aprilrion91 wrote:I guess it probably does have an effect, but you have you take into account that a lot of people are your same situation too.humph wrote:I have a question folks. On the online application, where it shows you your LSAT, there's an 'upload file' button for proof of enrollment.
I legitimately just screenshotted the "admission accepted" page and threw it on a word document to upload. Not sure if that's the official way to do it though

Re: 2015 SEO Corporate Law Applicants
After I deposited at UT they sent my an email with a receipt type thing. It basically just said "Thank you for paying your $200 seat deposit." I just uploaded that.rion91 wrote:I guess it probably does have an effect, but you have you take into account that a lot of people are your same situation too.humph wrote:I have a question folks. Does everyone apply get an interview invite? I applied in December, have emailed them several times, and I also updated my acceptances list. Maybe they didn't like me.

I believe I've read something along the lines of 1,000ish applicants, 350ish interviews, 85ish internships.Yaaaas2013 wrote:Does everyone apply get an interview invite? I applied in December, have emailed them several times, and I also updated my acceptances list. Maybe they didn't like me.

No. I interviewed before the email was sent out so I didn't have an opportunity to ask. They added two cities, Newport in California and Dallas in Texas. The email also says the final deadline was March 1st...which was then extended until April 1st.ScottPilgrimv.TheLaw wrote:Did they give out any info about Dallas partner firms?FairchildFLT wrote:Yeah it wasn't listed when I applied, and still has not been listed on their website. With mid-April looming in the near future already, does anyone have any idea if it would be wise to put down a seat deposit on a lower T14 now or, instead, wait to see if I'm accepted at one of my top choices in the next couple weeks? Does the difference between schools have material weight in SEO's eyes when comparing, say, a CCN to an MVPDCNABCD(ETC)?

Think we'll see any movement this week? In the past, I've heard of people having 2nd or even 3rd interviews. Does anyone know if that's because SEO really likes you or is on the fence? (or neither)

I don't think I will hear anything this week. My reformatted resume wasn't due until the 13th. I already turned it in, but I still don't expect to find out about it until after then.

So weird that they wanted us to have a textbook SEO resume without giving us the template the first time around.

Well last year people weren't asked to reformat their resumes until they had already been accepted...Flokkness wrote:So weird that they wanted us to have a textbook SEO resume without giving us the template the first time around.

Yeah, I think all of this is strange, too. Hopefully we start hearing soon! It's a bit unsettling not knowing what I'll be up to in two months.
