Any thoughts on being "held" at Berkeley rather than out-and-out waitlisted. I'm not sure how much hope I should hold out. It seems clear that it's not worth staying on their WL but this looks to be different.

Re: URM 2016-2017 Cycle Thread
Has anyone here applied for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund's general scholarship? Their application - which is open to law school students - is geared toward high school students to the point that it is annoying to apply, e.g.list up to 5 of activities total and include all internships and jobs in a drop down box since high school.
Has anyone ever applied to HSF's scholarship after high school/have any positive feedback that maybe filling out the pages of forms is hopefully going to lead to a scholarship?

They're officially top 10. USNWR posted their top 10 preview: https://www.usnews.com/education/best-g ... aw-schoolsbrinicolec wrote:Now people are saying Spivey's rankings were fake and this new one they have on here has Northwestern @ 11, but close enough20171lhopeful wrote:these trickle waves be killing me dammit! anyways, you have great options so congrats on being done with your cyle AND going to a top 10brinicolec wrote:Lol, I feel you. Also, I'm not really sold on the idea that USNWR is out here putting out fake info to stop leaking. lol

In other news, I accidentally deleted all my emails last week (including scholly offers from a couple places I hadn't printed them out yet) and emailed Georgetown like "I deleted all my emails, can you please resend my scholarship info" and haven't heard anything back yet

Yea I noticed that too. I tried applying in the first week of Jan, but got frustrated with it and stopped.renc56 wrote:Has anyone here applied for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund's general scholarship? I don't blame you at all. Also I'm not sure how many graduate students get this..Torres1893 wrote:Yea I noticed that too. Busy morning... Dinged at HLS and Berkeley (more bummed about Berkeley than HLS) but in at ULCA and their Epstein. At least things are happening.

Got the same thing today as well. Some people are saying that it means their interested but waiting to see how their class develops before a decision is made. The anxiety is real.
