I just saw the 509 for UChi you posted. Hard to believe they don't have a single Native American student.Wahrheit wrote:I wrote a long post in the google group. Nobody really replied.

I'm just hoping to have half as good a cycle as some of the other people here.
It's a win for the URM forum that we finally got this guy posting here.

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
hi! I'm new to this thread
MA/Female/165/3.98
i was wondering if there was a new thread for this year's cycle or if we are just continuing on in this one?
also are you guys sending in updated transcripts? my gpa probably went up a little but nothing significant so i wasn't sure if i should or not…
~the only schools i haven't heard from are Stanford (complete 11/11) and Harvard (JS1 1/6)

Not sure about a new thread for this year's cycle, as we are still in the 14-15 cycle. A thread for 15-16 probably won't appear until mid-May.
I think the general wisdom is to send the transcripts if they help you, even if it's just a little.
Congrats on getting your JS1! Based on your numbers, I am sure you've had a lot of success to this point.

Thanks! Really hoping for one of the big three left. Interviewed with WUSTL and it seemed to go very well. Hopefully I get some positive news soon.DiniMae wrote:Good luck! I think an interview at WUSTL is a really positive sign -- so fingers crossed. On another note, I only know one guy who went to Howard ('11), but he's at a top 10 DC firm. That may be worth exploring, but I don't know the school's stats overall.mlehh91 wrote:Thanks! Really hoping for one of the big three left. Interviewed with WUSTL and it seemed to go very well. Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
I think HUSL gets a bad rep because of its ranking. They are a great school and produce top notch attorneys. Law firms flock there to fill their diversity requirements (ignorance is bliss). I'm visiting 3/6 for their open house so if anyone wants to meet up in DC message me.DiniMae wrote:I think an interview at WUSTL is a really positive sign -- so fingers crossed. As for WUSTL, judging from this site, and past cycles I think an interview is a great sign. I recorded it and watched the video a few times. I don't think my answers/questions could have flowed better and there wasn't any awkward pauses or stumped moments. I've been checking the application status religiously so hopefully I'll be getting in soon.
Here's a few questions for everyone: what kind of law do you want to practice? Public or private sector preference? When is too late to file a FAFSA (waiting on my 2014 w2)

Checking in finally, been lurking for a bit.
Cycle is almost done, waiting on the last school. PR & AA Female/158/4.0X
In at: UVA, UT, William and Mary, UNC, Wake Forest, Tulane, Florida, Richmond, Miami, and WVU (my UG instution)
WL: UGA
Pending: Duke
P.S. Don't want to do Big Law, so T14 isn't my ultimate goal. Hope everyone else's cycle finishes great!

This. I remember my senior year and hating everything about being in classes with people I hated. Now I'm ready for a break from the working world and to learn some new shit (even though I love my office and my colleagues). I guess it's a seesaw.cc78 wrote:Convoy...I'd give ANYTHING to go to class right now...class>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>working.
