I want to pursue a dual degree (JD/Masters in Educational Policy), so I'm aiming for schools that either have established programs or good law/education schools.
1. UPenn
2. UVA
3. Vanderbilt
4. Boston College
5. W&M
6. GW
7. Illinois
8. UNC
*I would like to say Stanford and Columbia, but we're all aware of their tendencies.
... what are their tendencies?
Stanford has a great dual education program...
Indeed they do; it's probably the best that I've researched, but they have a tendency to only except future candidates that have saved the world in their own respective industries; those who have already accomplished unimaginable feats and are working on more. You now, individuals like "the most interesting man/women in the world" from the Dos Equis commercials. I don't quite consider myself to be there just yet.

I think requesting that someone explain how an aspect of themselves has significantly affected them and made their perspective uniquely different and then asking that it be half a page is bipolar
just putting that out there for the 1 pg DS schools lol

He has 3.3 , 159. He does have decent experience in school though. This is yet ample evidence why URMs are so hard to predict.

Savor not having apps in while you can. I swear the status checkers are driving me insane.. I even checked them over the weekend.

Ehh I pulled the trigger early because I got a Duke PT invite and had an issue in my app that mightve required a bit of time to deal with.. On second thought, it might have been better for me to wait a couple weeks.

Dinged from Northwestern?
I don't even want to apply anymore. I was talking to an admissions rep today at an event and I asked about work experience. He said, "Well, the rumors are true we basically require work experience. 97% of our admits have over one year [of experience]. So it's not impossible, but.."
Any other URMs still in undergrad applying?
Even if I got in, I doubt it'd be enjoyable studying with old people for 3 years

Is work experience a major criteria at any other Top 100 Law Schools?

How are peoples' dream/reach/target breakdowns looking? Worried I may have too many reaches and not enough targets.

From what I understand Northwestern is the only school that actually requires it (or I guess I should say highly HIGHLY recommends it). If you look at each school most have a a breakdown of ages and some even provide a statistic of how many students are coming directly from undergrad.
I am thinking about applying to Northwestern as well. I will have a year of work experience by the time I law school starts but at this point its only been a few months so who knows what will happen

Based on all the "I still haven't finished my PS" comments on here, I think a congrats is still deserved. Folks, understandably, seem to be a bit hesitant to pull the trigger.

If you post your stats and list of reaches in this thread, you'll prob get some helpful feedback.

It looks like you will have a great cycle Timmna!

I am also retaking in October to better my chances....do you have a target school you would like to go to?
