Haha I love the fruit too.. I just wanted to vent about that, since apple constantly takes my money. My apple care expired in May and of course you can't renew it which is the stupidest thing ever. So I had to fork up the dough! Worst part is that in six months I'll be getting a brand new MacBook as a graduation present.EvMont wrote:Seriously?! That's 40% of the cost of a brand new apple laptop. Maybe you can learn to love the fruit instead? You know, keep the name, change the meaning.applelover wrote:I wish I could change my name. Since I had to give Apple $400 to fix my display the other day. I am no longer an apple lover.

So she had a internship...or she was a summer associate?amb89 wrote:californiauser wrote:On Campus Interviewing - yes, essentially big law recruiment: Penn's claim to fame is their outstanding big law placementamb89 wrote:whats OCI, big law?
yea she had her internship on wallstreet. The 2 white kids got in and they let her go. Not to sound blunt but they took 2/3.
I dont think this was big law if there was only 2 other interns/associates

I would have to find out that info for you. All i know is she was getting paid decent and the people they kept were guaranteed jobs upon graduation.Mojosodope wrote:So she had a internship...or she was a summer associate?amb89 wrote:californiauser wrote:On Campus Interviewing - yes, essentially big law recruiment: Penn's claim to fame is their outstanding big law placementamb89 wrote:whats OCI, big law?

I think I'm burning out. I feel so tired. PT 60 today. and PT 61 on Thursday. Three PTs next week, all in between completing 7sage lol.
I'm taking a day off Friday, so hopefully that gets the juices flowing again.
Also, I think I'm going to switch up my testing location. I usually go to my UG library, but just for a little change, I'll go to Barnes and Noble today. Hopefully the constant chatter doesn't cause me to go crazy

Regardless of what law school I go to, I'm keeping my a** (and by virtue, my money) in Texas. Can't beat no state income tax.

I took an interview doing financial analysis and economic forecasting in Dallas. Coming from Cali it was at least 2x cheaper than anything I had ever experienced. It wasn't as backward as I thought either -no offense haha.El Principe wrote:Regardless of what law school I go to, I'm keeping my a** (and by virtue, my money) in Texas. I am curious how people are getting fee waivers from GT, Penn, Columbia, NYU and such. I emailed all these schools a while ago to no avail. I am taking the Dec LSAT. What lsat range qualifies for a merit base fee waiver?
I was thinking about applying for the lsac fee waiver but I am not sure if one can get it for application fee waivers only. Everything else I already paid for and was resolved to drop at least 1k on application fees but things are getting tight for me. So far I only have UVa and a bunch of other schools I most likely won't be applying to.

I would presume a lot of schools have a floor of 160 but thats just a guess. Also its going to have partial dependence of GPA.

I am not getting any fee waivers. Do you need your Undergrad GPA? I have a 17x and haven't received any waivers other than like Michigan State etc. lol My undergrad has taken a straight month to send my transcripts in.mandyjay11 wrote:I got Penn & UVA with a <160 LSAT I will not be paying for anything but CRS feesAmicus_Curiae2013 wrote:I am curious how people are getting fee waivers from GT, Penn, Columbia, NYU and such. Does anyone know for Penn if you submit a GPA addenda and Diversity statement, can you still submit a Why Penn essay? Also, anyone know about this same thing for Michigan? Or is this overkill?

I'm not sure, but it doesn't count against you if you didn't select it to go to a certain school. Law schools can't see letters that you didn't designate them to receive.

You can't delete them, you can only hide itamb89 wrote:anyone know how to erase the LOR request you put down. I didnt get one from the guy i listed, i got it from a different person.. Personally I don't think that's overkill. I'm doing a PS, DS and a why x school for almost every school I'm applying to.mac2013 wrote:Does anyone know for Penn if you submit a GPA addenda and Diversity statement, can you still submit a Why Penn essay? And I also have an addenda to do.

Ok, i was scared they would be able to see that i requested one but the professor never responded(looks bad to me). So as long as i dont check it off and check the other one to be sent i should be alright?
