I have to be honest guys but this might be the first time in my life that I have been glad to be black. I'm a 3.6/161 and I'm getting all sorts of t-14 love citing my "academic achievements." Yea right!

This happened in the fee waivers thread. I kind of made me a little sad that fee waivers made him/her glad to be black.

This irritates to me for multiple reasons, the first of which being that a 3.6 is an academic accomplishment. Most people don't get a 3.6 from being lazy.

Secondly, there's some things I just don't believe in saying in mixed company...and that's one of them.

Sad, but a google search resulted in finding this dude...a family therapist in Philly, apparently.

In other news glad to see my RC is in a decent range. Re-did an RC I haven't seen in ages (June 2007) with 5 minutes to spare, but scored 22/27. Eh.

Yes! Them and Florida Coastal.

Some ppl in the fee waiver thread find the lady in the Florida coastal emails good. On some days I agree, on others not so much. Either way, her pic us the only reson why I open those emails.

Ha! Was her picture always there and I just didn't notice it, or is this a new tactic to bring more attention to Florida Coastal?

I don't return to the passage to confirm answers unless there is a specific line reference. I try to absorb the material and be engaged with minimal notation. Also, drilling a full RC section a day helped with my speed. I still need to improve though. I went 20/27 in October.

I had success with UVA and GTown. All of the other T-14 schools told me to wait for CRS. However Michigan told me to wait until the end of next week and if I don't receive one, email them back and I'll get one.

Not Voyager's. I wanted to read the Trainer for RC though. Which have you found helpful?

I've read MLSAT, voyager, and the trainer. MLSAT an the trainer are practically the same. My approach to RC is a combo of both voyager and MLSAT/trainer. Reading for structure is key to RC and it takes a while to start reading with the intent of looking for structure rather than understanding. That's what the trainer and MLSAT focus on. From voyager I took the boxing in approach. Usually when dates or names come up in the passage they will appear in the question stems. Boxing in dates and names makes them easier to locate when these types of questions do come up. HTH

I tried the boxing, notating, and all of that. But the only time I go less than -5 on reading comp is when I just read the passage and answer the questions. Whenever I used try boxing stuff and looking for structure I miss like 8 to 9 questions. I use memorization technique though. I don't know if the trainer goes over that.
