I'd imagine there's still too many folks who haven't made a decision yet (myself included).Mbear5 wrote:Nope. I'm just sitting here waiting anxiously. lolBUCKSfan93 wrote:Has anyone heard something from SEO yet? In past years' threads, this is around the time when things start to pick up

Let's all promise to post as soon as we hear (anything) back from SEO, whether that's a formal acceptance, second interview request, etc. No harm in keeping each other updated!

This thread has been rather quiet this year. I'm not sure if that means there are a large number of lurkers, or just generally less interest.BUCKSfan93 wrote:how do you all feel about your chances? I have no idea where I stand and the wait is killing me
Either way, I love you SEO

I think it will get busier when people start getting accepted, and finding out where they are going, and what housing to get, etc.FairchildFLT wrote:This thread has been rather quiet this year. Re: 2016 SEO Applicants
If I remember right they already had. In addition, SEO sent out a resume formatting guide and we all had to resubmit our resumes in their format.BUCKSfan93 wrote:Do you remember when second interview requests when out last year?FairchildFLT wrote:This time last year there was about 15 pages I believe.cdotson2 wrote:I think it will get busier when people start getting accepted, and finding out where they are going, and what housing to get, etc.FairchildFLT wrote:This thread has been rather quiet this year. I know a lot of people messaged me about interview tips (happy to help) that have yet to post in here. They're lurking!
Edit: Just scrolled through last years emails. I sent my updated resume in exactly 365 days ago lol So the request had definitely gone out by now.

Re: 2016 SEO Applicants
second interviews are not necessary for being admitted, right? Are they for borderline candidates? or candidates that change info, like where they would like to work, or if SEO can't place them in their first choice?

Re: 2016 SEO Applicants
yeah last year's thread had plenty of people with just one interview. I kind of want one anyway thoughcdotson2 wrote:second interviews are not necessary for being admitted, right? I want to know what I need to put up as my seat deposit confirmation for the application. I am so excited to know what happens next.
Edited. Just went back a page and saw that Fairchild answered this.
Thank you, I'll keep you all updated to encourage lurkers to participate.

SEO is still conducting first interviews. I think we still have a little wait in front of us.Mbear5 wrote:Any updates? We're already five days into April. It's practically May. lol

Re: 2016 SEO Applicants
My interviewer said, and I think past years corroborate this, that decisions don't start going out until around mid-April. Even then, I think SEO releases decisions by regions, with other region placements(e.g. west coast) being later than say New York placements.Mbear5 wrote:Any updates? Anyone know how unfavorably they look upon double depositing? I'm concerned I'm gonna miss the boat on this since I haven't decided yet and I don't think I will for another few weeks.

Re: 2016 SEO Applicants
I have been thinking the same thing. I asked in my interview how they view depositing at one school and waiting on other waitlist and they said that they have had students do it before, you just need to let them know what schools you could be switching too. It is not proffered though, and I don't know if it applies to schools you have already been accepted at or just schools you are waiting on/waitlisted at.gamerish wrote:Anyone know how unfavorably they look upon double depositing?
