On another note, I'm more than happy to answer any questions. I know I've only been in school for a little while but I think I have some wisdom to share <3

How was OCI at your school for URMs, and for the class as a whole?

Seconded.
Respective to what? ITE? Previous OCIs? Other T14s?

I would like to ask, how racist are law school students (if this hasn't been asked already). Are they anything like the people on this board?

Law students are the biggest anti-Semites this side of Iran.

I'm a 1L at a school in Texas, and I have yet to encounter overt or subtle racism. I hang with everyone during the day at school and on the weekends, and couldn't be having a better time (other than legal writing, haha). For me, it hasn't been an issue at all.

It's worth it if you run the numbers and it's worth it. There is no blanket answer. How much debt would you incur? Considering your school, wWhat is your best and worst case scenario upon graduation and the probability of each?

Some are, most aren't. As in life, so in law school.

Girl, I ain't applied yet. Applying next cycle. Best case scenario is being offered a decent amount of scholarships/grants so I won't graduate with much debt. I hate debt. Hate it because once you have it its usually only one way presented to get out of the hole: BIGLAW.
And BIGLAW life is another hole in and of itself.
So its fair to assume you weighed the pros and cons before taking the leap and decided LS was still the best option for you?

If I had known in advance that I would get the offer I got at OCI, I would still have decided to go to law school. If I only knew how hard it was to find work in this field, I would not have gone.

Yeah, but I've always been the type to make my decisions with Excel open and some decision tables and spreadsheets running.

It's been said to obtain outlines from 2L's prior to the beginning of the school year once you find out who your professor's are but how does one go about do this? Is it something that you simply ask for or is money always involved?

Money is (almost?) never involved. You can either tap an available public outline bank, get an outline from somebody you know (most common route), or get the outline reserves for an organization you're in (law review being the most prominent example).

I am currently aiming for Fordham. But I will also be applying for Brooklyn, St.Johns or Cardozo. Would you choose a full scholarship from a Tier 2 regional school or sticker price at a Tier 1 school?
