Re: URM 2016-2017 Cycle Thread
just checking in after being gone a while (Had to take a break from LSAT prep for work and health related stuff) so looks like I'm aiming for Septemeber 2017. I hope I didn't lose too much of my progress since I haven't really prepped earnestly in a good 6 weeks.
Anyone have any data on AA URMS with ~3.84 getting into HYS CCN Cornell? Average stats. Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, few clubs, and awards, etc. Nothing amazing. 2 good LORs.
Wondering because MyLSN has such little data, especially this cycle. I'm guessing I would need a 165+ for a decent shot at H... but just wondering if any fellow AA URMS got JS2s and their stats? As well as other have gotten into other T14s.
Thanks and good luck to everyone! I've missed ya'll

I was wondering what happened to you O'Drama, haven't seen ya here or on 7sage in a minute. I'm aiming for the September LSAT also (possibly the December if I'm not PTing where I want to be). MyLSN doesn't have much to offer for us AAs so far this cycle, and there isn't much on here either lol. An AA female did get into Harvard with a 3.7 164, but other than that it's been pretty tough sleddinBarack O'Drama wrote:just checking in after being gone a while (Had to take a break from LSAT prep for work and health related stuff) so looks like I'm aiming for Septemeber 2017. You can check my lsn profile. I am willing to bet I have a tiny GPA boost due to a letter my registrar sends explaining the grading policy, so if you do well on the LSAT your cycle may look like mine. Or if I didn't get one you will be in an even better place. Chase money, not just Harvard.Barack O'Drama wrote:just checking in after being gone a while (Had to take a break from LSAT prep for work and health related stuff) so looks like I'm aiming for Septemeber 2017. Hey dude! Yeah work got really crazy, more so than usual. I also broke a few ribs and with all that's going on right now In just wasn't finding time to prep. So I put it on hold. It's probably been since Early December when I prepped, so hoping I didn't forget too much and it comes back to me. Praying I'll be ready in time for September...USayinBoalt wrote:I was wondering what happened to you O'Drama, haven't seen ya here or on 7sage in a minute. Yup! Shooting for Sept 17 with December 17 for a backup. I just had too much on my plate prepping and working full-time wasn't working for a while. My new plan is to leave to prep full-time, maybe get a side gig, volunteer, and a few other things on the side. I also have a surgery in the near future, so I figured might as well put the LSAT on the back burner and recover. Totally missed ya'll though! Seems like this cycle is crazy!

Hell yeah! That's what I'm talking about! I'm going to try to re-go through most of the CC lessons and re-read some Manhattan/Powerscore and drill the Cambridge packets until I feel like nothing is standing in my way of that 170! Applied to some safeties. Lol. I am panicking - no acceptances so far. A rejection and a reserve with upcoming interview invite (which is kinda odd).

2-3 months can be pretty standard at some of the top schools plus applying early or mid january, a lot of schools are playing catch up due to winter break...I would not freak out just yet, but I will cross my fingers for you! feel free to pm me if you want to talk/vent/etc.sfn91 wrote:Applied early January to most (~8) schools, and mid-January to a few others (~3).Cbear2017 wrote:When did you apply! I agree the cycle seems kinda slow but I totally understand the safety thing. I applied to a couple schools just because I had a feeling they'd give me a full scholly and needed some confidence boosting lolCbear2017 wrote:2-3 months can be pretty standard at some of the top schools plus applying early or mid january, a lot of schools are playing catch up due to winter break...I would not freak out just yet, but I will cross my fingers for you! feel free to pm me if you want to talk/vent/etc.sfn91 wrote:Applied early January to most (~8) schools, and mid-January to a few others (~3).Cbear2017 wrote:When did you apply! Re: URM 2016-2017 Cycle Thread
So I've decided to re-take the LSAT, I think adding 5-6 more point to my 163 would really open a lot up for me T14 wise. Not sure if I'll have to wait til Sept/Dec though since I used up all my 3 takes OCT 15 FEB 16 and DEC 16.
