just be aware of the stipulations - it's an awesome scholarship, but only if you're 100% set on a career in PI.DiniMae wrote:Take advantage! Good luck!Atmosphere wrote:Just got an invite to apply for the Root-Tilden Scholarship @ NYU

I would love to hear back re:anything from NYU. I've been stuck at UR1 on 1/2. Most people seem to hear back so quickly. I'm a reverse splitter though so I don't know if that's it.

It took me about 22 days to go UR2 and over a month to get a decision. So I think it's still too early for you to worry (there are actually many people from Sept-Dec who have not yet got a decision).DiniMae wrote:I would love to hear back re:anything from NYU. Oooo ok. By that timeline, hopefully there will be some SC movement over the next month.Tr3 wrote:It took me about 22 days to go UR2 and over a month to get a decision. For me it was also 22 days between UR1 and UR2 and 25 days between UR2 and getting the DLS status.DiniMae wrote:Oooo ok. You're welcome. I saw a whole bunch of willingness to pay sticker at SLS inthis poll but only 1 person trying to work in the bay area for SEO. Are any aspiring SLS or Berkeley people also applying SEO out there?

meeeee. but I haven't been accepted to berk or sls (and sls is definitely a long shot, berk is too considering I was pushed to faculty review).DiniMae wrote:You're welcome. Hey y'all, so I was going to consolidate diversity ASW info so I can figure out if I'm gonna go to any of them, then I thought it could be a good resource for TLS in general. Do you think it should be on the main ASW page, on another tab of our URM results google doc, or a thread within the URM forum? /is anyone other than me even interested in having this info compiled?

SMH...y'all so damn smart in hereWahrheit wrote:Smile is always TCR for people you want to like you. It encourages mimicry (the adcomms will smile) - and there is further psych theory that emotion follows action in some instances. So that mimicry could implant positive thoughts.
It probably won't make a big difference overall, but SCIENCE!
