Waitlisted at UVA today then withdrew app. Cycle is almost over.

Question: I applied to Duke back in November an went UR1 mid December and I haven't heard a peep since. Is this remotely normal or does it warrant an actual check-up? I'm a little afraid to check in in case they just reject me immediately after or something, but this just doesn't seem right.

I have the same dates and the same looong wait and finally did hear back from them today with an acceptance so don't lose hope yet. (I agree its a crazy long wait)

Thanks for the optimism! In all honesty, I had a hard time justifying forking out the dough for a YLS app when it was such a reach for me, you know? HLS and SLS seemed like more reasonable (at least distantly attainable) reaches. But dude, you're golden. I'm anxious to see how well the rest of your cycle plays out!

I had updates at Cornell and NYU recently so I'd hoped they'd give me word by today, but...guess not
