Also on another note, is anyone working here? Or are most spending their days waiting for decisions? Or both?

This exactly

Yesterday afternoon with NU's status checker was probably the most stressed I have been about a checker thus far.90convoy wrote:worker and full time student here as well. the worst/most stressful part of my day is the status checker refreshing however
Most stressful day worrying about law school apps was definitely Monday with Stanford though. Seeing the 7:30 am call and then silence for the longest time was killer. Now that there's a bit of a pattern going on (east coasters at 7:30, others in the afternoon, all September completes) I feel more relaxed...until my complete date gets passed by and then I will be 110% anxious again.

+1 full-time work
Also, non-preferred waitlist at GULC. Not too surprised (or bothered). I submitted risky supplements. Will withdraw soon.

I know how ya feel! It's rough seeing so much activity on these boards when you're not included in it haha. As far as Stanford goes, that school is so much of a stretch for me that I am not even stressin. Law School Predictor put it as a "reach" for me though so ya never know. gotta have hope!
your cycle is amazing btw had to through that in there

Basically, I submitted the video supplement about stuff that had nothing to do with law. I used it to show my creative side and discuss other parts of my life that are important and keep me centered, but I can see how it was too far detached from the rest of my materials. Feel free to PM if you want more details.gamerish wrote:Sorry if this is a dumb or personal question, but what exactly makes for a risky supplement?Tr3 wrote:+1 full-time work

Going off that, I'm assuming you didn't submit those risky supplements to NYU? Otherwise, unless YP is at work, I think it's kinda shocking GULC wouldn't send an acceptance your way, especially since NYU saw it fit too.
What a weird cycle.
The video supp was only an option at GULC, which is why I submitted it (and not to NYU or any other school). So I guess it detracted from my app too much. I also don't think I have YP numbers.

Very much expecting my UVA WL to arrive tomorrow. Kind of excited for it actually, better to have it done quickly than wait around forever.ballcaps wrote:hoping for some action/entertainment tomorrow.

Chicago and Columbia will get a round of decisions out next week. You heard it here first. (Pure speculation).

Outright acceptance would be awesome! I'm not sure if I should be hoping for an interview or just looking for snail mail, I really wish we knew how much of the pool they're realistically going to interview or if it's just auto-admits and I should just sit tight and waitballcaps wrote:*crossing fingers for outright columbia acceptance*lc39 wrote:Very much expecting my UVA WL to arrive tomorrow. I really hope they will send acceptances to those w/o interviews because I did not receive an interview request and I would love a Columbia letter in my mailbox!Mrocky2 wrote:Outright acceptance would be awesome! Me too, but I'm UR 1/14, so they might be planning to make me wait a little longer. I'm going to do my very best to not take this too personal.ballcaps wrote:

I would be furious with Penn if they WL'd you tbh.cc78 wrote:Me too, but I'm UR 1/14, so they might be planning to make me wait a little longer. I'm going to do my very best to not take this too personal.ballcaps wrote:

Columbia and UVA don't distinguish between complete and UR I think. I went UR at NYU before I even got the status checker IIRC. Seems normal. I hope you get speedy acceptancessashafierce wrote:So I went Application Received--->Complete--->Under Review in less than 2 days @ NYU/Columbia/UVA is that normal?

GT has a non preferred list? LolTr3 wrote:Basically, I submitted the video supplement about stuff that had nothing to do with law. And also WT#%€ with that video interview? Coming from a LAW school, I find that very intriguing even if it is optional.
I really am annoyed at all the hoops some schools make applicants go through especially when they aren't even HYSCCN. I am curious to see how they will handle things in the future with the application pool shrinking.
The only way around that I found is working one's butt off, getting the highest lsat possible and then watch them pour you champaign

That made my eyes bug out too...and I'm sorry Tr3 for you to get this rough news...fear not, good news awaits and this will soon be a distant memory. But back to this non-preferred list...I just can't understand why they need different levels of purgatory, shouldn't it be waitlist or deny? If it were me, I'd respond to their non-priority WL email with a prompt withdrawal letter.Harvette wrote: GT has a non preferred list? Lol
