Feeling super blessed. I am an AnBryce finalist! Congrats recent law school admits and other AnBryce finalists!

Does anyone know what merit aid tends to look like for finalists who aren't chosen as AnBryce Scholars?

Hey, congrats! That's awesome. I'm in NYC and was hoping I would be a contender for the AnBryce. I really don't want to move out of state to attend law school and the AnBryce would most likely ensure my staying here. Wish I was you. Good luck!

Had my JS1 today (with JS). I keep replaying it in my head and I feel like it went pretty well for the most part... granted, hindsight is 20/20 and there are probably additional things I could have said or asked to improve it, but I at least have the impression that it didn't detract at all from my application. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry for the CLS ding, twentypercentmore. It's bizarre to me that they would take the time to physically mail a rejection letter. Keep your chin up, man!

Haha, yeah I did but I swear if I got an AnBryce I'd take it and run! I'm already carrying $20k+ in undergrad loans so I would like to keep law school loans at a minimum (living expenses only would be ideal). I really like NYU, too. Also, I don't want to move right now. It's just too much of a hassle and very inconvenient (family and all).

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you on getting a JS2 PRgrad! It is tempting to replay the interview over again, but I try not to do that since it is out of my hands at this point. Just have to wait and see. Again, I hope the JS2 train is coming your way!

I mean you're right on the margin. A 2 point increase on your GPA or LSAT probably would have you in. Also, some C&F issues could be hurting you. It's also barely March and you applied later (January) so give it time. On average, 50-70 African Americans in the country have a 165+/3.5+ during a given cycle so I would be pretty shocked if you didn't get an interview. Unless your C&F is really bad.

I think it's a C&F issue with my time off from school and my medical history. Also, I've taken classes at Harvard before through their extension school, and my grades from that time period are probably hurting me.

I was out of school Fall 2008 and Spring 2010, and I dropped all my classes Fall 2009 and my spring 2008 was struck from my academic record, so 2-4 semesters, depending on how you count it. My lowest grades on my transcript are one C- and one C+ but most of my grades have been clustered in the B+/A- range. However, I did start my freshman year at a T5 private school and left and finished at a T65 (I guess? Vague about USNWR undergrad rankings). I have some classes that were NR, so they aren't on my transcript. I feel as if Harvard Admissions can read between the lines on the missing classes from my freshman year.
