Do you think it would still be good to send a LOCI even with a why berk?

My vote is yes. Don't leave any bullets in the gun.

My second vote is don't beat yourself up. This is stressful and you're doing the very best you can.

I would definitely be down for a private group. But also no idea how it could be done. Maybe a Facebook group if people are ok with not being anon
I'm down for this too...please don't leave me out. It's triggering my social anxiety.

Seconding everything. Put yourself in the best position possible by submitting a LOCI. But also remember that FR is not a WL/rejection. Don't mentally cross Berkeley off your list quite yet. Seems like it's a bit of soft YP happening and I think with your demonstrated love of Cal you can work that in your favor.

Be kind to yourself most of all. You could do everything "perfect" and still have the same outcome, it's just that much of a crapshoot and we have no idea what goes on in the mind of adcoms.

Ok, so I've set up a google group that everyone can join. (you can join with any email, but it's recommended to have a gmail). When/if you sign up, please use your TLS username.

Full Disclosure: I will be able to see the email you use to register and others in the group *might* also be able to (I tried to turn off that option, but it said users in the group still might be able to see your email address).

SO... if you're ok with others potentially seeing your email address, please join. If not, then please think of another option.

(Also, someone suggested a FB group... idk how everyone feels about that... I'm open to it).

Link to register:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/urm2018

(I'll have to approve all requests. Hence why I'd like your username to match TLS so that I can verify, or I suppose you could PM me if you'd rather use a different name).

EDIT: Only members will be able to see posts in this group. Also, I promise to keep your email address confidential. I have no use or interest in doing anything with them.

I have mixed feelings. I want to say yes, but then I also kind of want to keep it for people who actively read/participate in this thread since it's meant for 'private' discussions.

BUT I don't actually care either way. So what do you/others think?

Personally I'd rather not, because it opens up the possibility of trolls/dummy admissions accounts, but it's up to y'all.

Yup, those were my same reservations.

Also, accepted to UC Hastings. That officially means I've been accepted to all my safety schools. Yippee =)
