Any URMs still waiting on Columbia? It's my #1 choice and I'm afraid that I maybe missed the URM wave. Submitted 12/14 but didn't go complete until early January.

Please just love me, Columbia

Me! i got an email from them today asking for my fall grades too. I was like, well I applied with my fall grades, so you definitely have them. They responded saying they did in fact have them. Completely stressed me out for no reason. But looks like after being complete for over a month they hadn't even looked at my grades...

Hm, maybe I should've applied to Harvard (I'm one of those weird people who has never had any desire to go to Harvard...or Yale). Any thoughts on the job? Like I said it's nothing glamorous and requires minimal thinking (the hardest thing I do is check flight connections and make sure people have enough time to get from one gate to the other) is it worth mentioning?

Not really honestly. Let your stats speak for themselves. 160+/3.0+ AA URM speaks for itself and this job addition isn't too significant. Be patient.

Me, though I'm actually just waiting for my ding. I applied in like November after getting an unsolicited fee-waiver. I assumed they sent it to me just for lulz, but I thought I'd at least hear back by now?

Personally, I just wish I didn't retake in December and applied earlier instead of in Jan.

Maybe I would've heard back from more schools now and I'd have some peace of mind.

Officially withdrew from Cornell, Georgetown, Northwestern, Michigan, and Berkeley.

Hope the spots I vacate lead to one of you all getting good news! Best of luck to everyone. Stay hopeful!

Also, I was selected as a finalist for the AnnBryce Scholarship! Feeling blessed.

Thanks :)

Also, I've got my JS1 tomorrow. I doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

I know that feeling. I was feeling jittery the night before, but JS was really nice and I have heard good things about KB! I bet you will do great! :)

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'll let you all know how it goes, although I'm sure it will seem progressively worse each time I replay it in my head afterwards, haha.

This is literally the worst cycle in the history of ever.

Dood...

20 bucks says you'll be happier by around June, for whatever that's worth.

Haha, well, that's an easy 20 bucks, since I don't see being any less happy in June. ;D

Lol fair enough. Seriously though, I just think the lack of GPA and URM combination is one that just screams "have fun waiting a while." But definitely not one that will shut you out of the T20.

Feeling super blessed. I am an AnBryce finalist! Congrats recent law school admits and other AnBryce finalists!

Does anyone know what merit aid tends to look like for finalists who aren't chosen as AnBryce Scholars?

Thanks everyone for responding about Columbia. I live in NYC with a significant other whose line of work is really only found here, so being accepted to Columbia would mean I don't have to make any tough personal decisions. Knowing I'm not the only one waiting is definitely helping with my internal panic, ha.

And sorry to hear about the ding, TwentyPercentMore. Good luck with the rest of your cycle, I'm sure a good one will come soon!

People who don't receive AnBryce Scholarships generally receive very generous scholarship offers nonetheless. I've heard that 90K is what they have received, but that number varies.

Interviewed with UChicago today. I felt much better afterwards in comparison with my JS1. PM me if you want details/advice.

Hey, congrats! That's awesome. I'm in NYC and was hoping I would be a contender for the AnBryce. I really don't want to move out of state to attend law school and the AnBryce would most likely ensure my staying here. Wish I was you. Good luck! :)
