Have a feeling schools are going to be dipping into their waitlists this year...Dream_weaver32 wrote:Wait listed at Vandy. Must say I feel a little bit relieved. It's not great news but not all bad I guess

Grats on TX, Fairchild!

Almost 32. Would say you guys are crazy young but tbh I'm just that far above median. There's an upside to it, but in the larger scheme of things you guys will enjoy more practice years for in some cases a similar debt load. Enjoy every minute of it.lc39 wrote:Flokk is older too, no?cc78 wrote:Me too...but that was a looooooong time ago. I'm clearly the only true old head here.Tr3 wrote:

Yeah now I'm trying to get out in time to start school. That's where all my stress has come from, planning everything to line up with getting out.90convoy wrote:and you served!? ur not playin games with thisFairchildFLT wrote:I just turned 21 in November so I made the cutoff! I think schools are very accommodating to these types of deferrals in the event you can't. I wouldn't worry!FairchildFLT wrote:Yeah now I'm trying to get out in time to start school. Today was underwhelming...I had hoped the Stanford wave would be more exciting.

Yeah, I was really hoping for a lot of activity after the super early Stanford admit. Hopefully tomorrow brings more acceptances.lc39 wrote:Today was underwhelming...I had hoped the Stanford wave would be more exciting.
Also, I found out I am apparently old today (according to the poll), so that was fun.

Here, here. A bummer of a day...highlighted by a crappy near Affirmative Action debate in the Northwestern forum.lc39 wrote:Today was underwhelming...I had hoped the Stanford wave would be more exciting.
Tomorrow is a new day though...

Why not Vandy? I think some of their grads can snag NY.

I'll check out their stats, thanks for the heads up. I'm also thinking about applying to a fewer lower ranked schools such as Washington and Lee, Wake Forest, UC Davis and Fordham. But I'm trying to keep my list between 10-12. My top choices are all in NY I know it's a reach given my LSAT score but a girl can dreamcc78 wrote:Why not Vandy? Not fully informed, but I'd take Washington and Lee off the list...their employment figures are just brutal and you'll get much better schools. I mean, if it were free to apply, why not, but short of that...Fordham can make sense for NY, I think. UC Davis doesn't make any sense to me.sashafierce wrote:I'll check out their stats, thanks for the heads up. Wake is cool to apply to as well if its free, but I would doubt their ability to get you to NY.
Again, this is just me speaking without doing extra research, so take it with a grain of salt.

Welcome and good luck with your cycle, Sasha. I'd be happy to read your diversity statement if it's ready.
Out of curiosity, why 10 schools max?

Don't sweat that shit. Use it. It's like adding jet fuel to your gas tank. Also, haters gonna hate and ain'ters gonna ain't.cc78 wrote:Here, here. HYS....lol! I might send an app out to Harvard with very low expectations but surely not Yale. Law School Predictor has Stanford as my reach school
maybe I'll send an app there.
