I would do howard is only for the chance to use the i'm a law student at howard to the undergrad women. Must work like a charm. Also all of the anecdotal stories i've heard about Howard Law have been good.

USC with a Rothman is better than most of the T14 if you want California biglaw -- though it's ideal if you have preexisting ties to the area.

Sidenote: I just took an unfamiliar timed LR section and went -2. I dunno what happened in October but I seek revenge in my December retake. Glad to see my timing is also in a similar range.
Did you ed to UVA? I'm complete as well but for rd and I think I will hear back late december/ early jan. A girl I knew in hs goes to usc and she seems to like it but I dont really talk to her much (facebook/instagram friends only)

Even above median at CCN isn't guaranteed a 2L internship at Skadden, let alone a 1L internship. If I were interested in California biglaw, I might even look at a Rothman before H at sticker. I'm interested to see the retention rate for 1LSA to 2LSA. I'm sure it's extraordinarily high; just not sure how high that is.
Usually "competitive numbers" for a Rothman scholarship are in CCN town. So for URMs, that's probably a 165/3.5 (AAs) or a 167/3.75 (MAs/PRs)

Does Rothman gurantee a 2L spot? I'd choose HYSCC over Rothman if Rothman is just 1L summer.twentypercentmore wrote:Even above median at CCN isn't guaranteed a 2L internship at Skadden, let alone a 1L internship. All Rothmans have been invited back their 2L year, and it seems they (typically) choose to split the summer with another firm. So not a guarantee, but I'd imagine that you have a better chance at a V5 firm (i.e, Skadden) from USC with the Rothman than anywhere else.californiauser wrote:Does Rothman gurantee a 2L spot? Yeah the Rothman single-handedly convinced me to apply to USC.Mojosodope wrote:Me wants Rothmantwentypercentmore wrote:All Rothmans have been invited back their 2L year, and it seems they (typically) choose to split the summer with another firm. I have never been to California. Do the women really live up to their rep? I have been to NYC many times and I wasn't impressed at all. Most of them looked really pale.

They are all tan...and I love tan/dark women. But I also think women are probably the most beautiful thing on this planet so my opinion may be tainted.
But yes they live up to my expectations.

We should easily have more pages than last year's thread...mainly thanks to our obsession with GIFs

I haven't spent much time in California, but during the brief time I spent there, I have to say that as a midwesterner I was impressed.bizzybone1313 wrote:I have never been to California.
