Any wave predictions for the week?
I'm gonna say another Penn wave/bloodbath on Friday and a NU wave sometime. Just my guesses. =)

My hopes: NU wave Tuesday, UVA WL bloodbath round 2 (still eagerly awaiting mine) Thurs/Fri, and more JS2s tomorrow.Tr3 wrote:Any wave predictions for the week?

I'd really like a Chicago wave next week but I think it will wait until after the weekend. I predicted this coming Friday for SLS in the applicants thread but could easily see it taking longer.

Lord...I realize we just can't know, but those nice folks, even with their staff turnover, won't really make us wait into February to hear something, will they?lc39 wrote:My hopes: NU wave Tuesday, UVA WL bloodbath round 2 (still eagerly awaiting mine) Thurs/Fri, and more JS2s tomorrow.Tr3 wrote:Any wave predictions for the week?

Here's who I am thinking we are going to hear from this week: Chicago has some December people they need to let in and maybe they are ready to WL/Ding people. And, in a wild card, maybe Columbia is ready to send out some snail mail to RD folks (last year, apparently they sent RD acceptances during their interview wave).

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
my emotions tell me that there will be some movement this week.
it's also the first day of the new semester so I won't be franticly refreshing status checkers/checking these boards all day! Thats always a plus for sanity's sake

I'm hoping for movement as well. I was expecting last week to heat up after winter break but no luck

While we are waiting to see if 650 pops up on the phone, it's amazing how all this anticipation and 10-15 applications can boil down to 2-3 schools so fast. Basically, Stanford's decision + $$ decisions at two other schools will decide it for me. Who knew the end could be here so quickly?

I live and work in the 650...every phone call will be a mini heart attack.cc78 wrote:While we are waiting to see if 650 pops up on the phone, it's amazing how all this anticipation and 10-15 applications can boil down to 2-3 schools so fast. I have a feeling my cycle will be over approximately never...but I guess it depends how quickly aid decisions are made.

Praying for the 650. We'll see how the heavens decide.

I'd maybe be okay with that. I enjoy entertaining the possibility I could go to Stanford or Yale or Columbia or... But, let me stop, I can understand how that would drive you crazy.lc39 wrote:I live and work in the 650...every phone call will be a mini heart attack.cc78 wrote:While we are waiting to see if 650 pops up on the phone, it's amazing how all this anticipation and 10-15 applications can boil down to 2-3 schools so fast. I definitely don't want to sound like I'm complaining about having too many good options! It's just that I have to decide and then my SO has to find a job in that area...so the sooner I commit the easier it will be for him.cc78 wrote:I'd maybe be okay with that.
