Congrats bro. Your sweeping this cycle really nice. How are you going to decide between HLS & SLS?

Thanks! That is a tough question, the answer to which I am still debating. But, I feel blessed in knowing whatever the decision, it won't be a wrong one. I'm happy to see many URMs this cycle are having to make this same decision.chiach1 wrote:2013hopeful:D wrote:Thank you!clouded.memory wrote:Congratulations to you!2013hopeful:D wrote:Accepted to Columbia via snail mail. 164/3.96

Held at Harvard today. Honestly, I'm just happy I made it this far.

If it is your #1, hold out. I had a friend last year who was held until JULY. But, HLS was his number one; he stayed in contact, continued updating his interest in attending, had additional letters of recommendation sent (I think), and they took him early July. It is stressful, but it is still possible!clouded.memory wrote:Held at Harvard today. Honestly, I'm just happy I made it this far.

I honestly think that it's a matter of my LSAT score. I was kind of expecting this ever since I registered for the Feb test. I think they're holding out long enough to see if and how much I improve. Fingers crossed for Saturday.2013hopeful:D wrote:If it is your #1, hold out. I had a friend last year who was held until JULY. Well lads, this may be nearing the end of the road for me. Dinged at Harvard today, not a single T14 acceptance so far. I'll stick it out with Stanford, throw in an app to Yale later this month, but I'm basically counting on coming back next cycle.

Sorry to hear that man. That's odd though, you have a damn decent URM LSAT. Maybe it's the issue of not having a GPA?twentypercentmore wrote:Well lads, this may be nearing the end of the road for me. Either way, hold out, it's very unlikely you don't nab any T14s.

Long time lurker, but do you think there is a higher incidence of YP for URMs due to the decline in apps?

In at Tulane and Pitt earlier this week, Loyola sent a letter that should be here next week. Now I'm just waiting to hear back from the T30 schools I applied to which include about half of the T-14...I feel like my wave of acceptances is gonna come to an end in the next couple weeks but hopefully there's still some good news coming my way!

Well, I'm out of breath from jumping and screaming myself silly in front of my mailbox! VCE from Columbia, dated 2/4!!!! Definitely makes up for the hold at Harvard and this overall crappy day!!!! So beyond thrilled right now.

Well I think this is the end of my cycle. I got into Yale and Columbia last night!!! (Info in profile) I haven't heard from Chicago, Cornell, NYU, UVA...but at this point, it doesn't even matter. I have no idea what to do...but what an amazing position to be in.
Thanks to everyone in this thread for your advice and encouragement -- you guys are awesome! Congrats to those who have also recently heard great news!! And good luck to those who are still waiting -- don't give up hope!!
